Little America Hotel consistently receives high praise for its luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and prime downtown Salt Lake City location. Guests frequently highlight the comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and convenient access to attractions. While some minor issues have been raised regarding amenities and room service, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.
Don’t let the “little” in their name mislead you, Little America is BIG on value, quality, service and experience. Every person we interacted with went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was perfect, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable bed. The dining was delicious and the coffees were amazing! All of the staff is knowledgeable, professional, friendly and really caring. We had a great time, thank you for the wonderful memories!
I always enjoy staying at this hotel when in Salt Lake City. Immediately upon entering the lobby, I am excited to be in the beautiful space that feels luxurious yet very comfortable. The staff is extremely kind, professional, and accommodating. The rooms are large and comfortable with plenty of space to enjoy the extra touches the Hotel provides. I always enjoy a wonderful bath in the soaking tub and feel like I am at a luxury hotel every time. The views of Salt Lake City and of the mountains in the distance are outstanding. With its great location and easy walkable distance to local attractions this hotel has it all.
“The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Parking was easy and secure, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. Highly recommended!” “Excellent hotel experience! The room was spotless and well-designed, with all modern facilities. The parking area was convenient, and everything felt safe and organized.” “Amazing stay in the USA! The rooms were luxurious and very clean, and the parking facility was hassle-free. Great location with friendly staff—will definitely come again!”
We stayed in a luxury king room. We had a large balcony that overlooked downtown SLC. The room was clean and had nice, upgraded amenities like a large TV, and large tub. The bed was comfortable. Just wish they would have provided additional pillows since they squish flat. The hotel lobby was quite nice and elegant. A gentleman was playing the piano and there is a fireplace to sit in one of the many available chairs to relax. We ordered room service and I have to say it was pretty good. I ordered the flat iron steak and my wife ordered the beef baron. The food was good and good portions too. It was nice to just eat in our room, and there was a large desk for the 2 of us. Shower had good pressure, and it was nice to have a large tub to soak in. There is a Trax station a block or two from the hotel (500 S and Main) which makes travel to City Creek and other downtown places easy. Overall, it was a great place to stay. I would go back.
Great hotel located next to the light rail. The architecture is beautiful. Rooms are well appointed. Restaurants are top notch. This would be a 5-star if only for minor details. They don't offer you any water upon arrival or in the room. There were no slippers for the tile/hardwood floors in the room. At the rates charged, a simple bottle of water each day is not a big ask.
The Little America is great. I will definitely stay here again. That said, it might not be for everyone. The main hotel spaces are impressive. Beautiful, clean, expansive. They have a lobby cafe, two shops, comfortable seating everywhere. The staff is courteous and accommodating. The buffet restaurant is unique and quite good. Not a lot of those outside of Vegas. So, it comes down to the room... Ours was clean and spacious. However, it was a bit dated and the HVAC unit did not work properly. The beds were comfortable and had nice linens. The bathroom while big was tired.
Don’t get me wrong, i like this hotel, and it is a fancy hotel, in that staying in the guest room at grandmas is fancy… Garden rooms are exactly that, my grandma’s house, just minus the decorative soaps. Rooms are dated but clean, beds are nice and pillows are fantastic, just not for the price anymore. Location can’t be better, in the heart of downtown salt lake, half a block from the light rail station, well within the free fair zone so you are minutes away from the everything salt lake has to offer. Great pool being the only hybrid indoor/outdoor pool i’ve seen in the area. The cost is a little prohibitive though when you also have to pay for a lot of amenities, that even cheaper hotels offer for free. It ie the budget option to it’s big brother across the street, but just kinda feels like spending the night at grandmas, without getting breakfast in the morning.
Great for big family gatherings. We stayed a few nights with extended family. The kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool. The Christmas decor is great. Valet parking was also so nice!! Within walking distance of so many downtown sites and it’s also close to a train stop. We used the train to get around as well and the kids loved it.
My wife and I booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary. Needless to say the service was subpar for the cost of staying with them. Upon arrival we had to take all our luggage from the car to the lobby, whilst there were literally bell persons standing outside talking amongst themselves. Checking was ok, but the real surprise when we got to the room. The room was void of appeal. Not even as much as a celebratory balloon or card to add a little bit of thought into our occasion. Mind you we had informed them weeks in advance that we would have been celebrating our anniversary. There mini cooler was empty not even as much as a bottle of water, which after inquiring we were told that we had to buy water at their vending machines. The heating system was awful as it was powered by the hot water system which made it significantly loud at nights when trying to sleep. Everything came at a cost, including their breakfast buffet and also their dinners. For what we paid to stay for three days it left a lot to be desired. Funny but true when checking out my wife asked about the lack of provision of bottled water for guests in the rooms. The receptionist stated that the water in the taps were drinkable. I laughed internally when she said this. If you are with mediocre service then this hotel is definitely for you. If not take heed of this review. I hope your experience will be better than ours.
We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The property is beautiful and clean. It is way higher scale than we had anticipated. Some of the buildings you can tell were built a long time ago, but the upkeep and updates have made it an amazing property. We didn't dare eat in the restaurants because they are really expensive but it looked and sounded amazing.
