Boutique-friendly and incredibly convenient for airport travelers, this hotel boasts large, well-equipped rooms and strong, personable service from specific staff members. However, the facility is clearly showing its age, with maintenance issues, a limited selection of breakfast options, and significant concerns about cleanliness and outdated amenities reported by recent guests.
Service was the shuttle. Picked up at airport driver never got out of vehicle another passenger and myself loaded our bags and when we arrived at hotel held hand out for a tip (that didn't happen)he was on the phone the whole time very unprofessional
The hotel is quite old but the location is great and so as the staff. Breakfast has huge selection . Room is big . We have a fireplace which is very nice . Lots of parking specially if you have an oversized vehicle.
The hotel is just a little rundown. The people at the front desk are lovely. But the breakfast was atrocious. I didn't even eat it. I did see a lot of people chowing on it though. So to each their own taste I guess. I stayed at many Residence Inn and I just found this one to be in need of a renovation.
Worst experience of my life as far as hotel experience. Our flight to Orlando was cancelled last min and after finding a flight out the next afternoon we had to find somewhere close to the airport to stay. Delta gave us a voucher and the Residence was the first on the list so we picked it. Shuttle picked us up and the driver was amazing! Take in mind we have our 5 young daughters with us and it’s now 2am. We get to the hotel and Anthony the night manager was at the front desk. We explained what happened and that we had vouchers from delta. He quickly said well I can’t do anything until you show me the reservation code. We found the code and he started to check us in. He then asked for my wife’s ID and she showed it to him but would not hand it to because of recently going through a severe sickness and not wanting to pick up any further germs. He then said I am not going to allow you to stay here tonight and I don’t have to put up with an attitude like that. WOW we never once disrespected him or talked down to him once and he is now sending my family of 7 back to the airport at 2 am. 3 of my daughters being 6,7, and 9. This guy should never work in customer service or hospitality again. I realize this is one guy and not Marriot as a whole but will never stay or recommend this place as long as Anthony is employed here.
I have had a great experience at this hotel. They have a shuttle 24/7 from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. The receptionist was quick to help after us having had a miserable time with Delta. It seems like most of the guests staying here are there, because Delta has cancelled or delayed their flight, causing them to stay here overnight. It became clear when we hopped into the shuttle in the morning heading to the airport. Although I only stayed here for 5 hours, I had a good time. The rooms were clean and large. It even had a fully equipped kitchen. However, there was just one design fail in my room, and that was that the faucet handle would hit the mirror every time I pulled it (video below). Despite that minor inconvenience, I had an awesome time here, better than the Long Island Marriott hotel in terms of service, room size, and location. I would highly recommend choosing this airport if Delta has ruined your trip.
Cordell at the front desk was hardworking and kind. Rooms were clean and well appointed. A note of caution though if you’re particular about the temperature of your room. The hotel installed motion sensor detectors on the thermostats. If you take a nap during the day or go to bed before 10 pm or so it doesn’t realize you’re still in the room and turns the AC off. The room gets warm and wakes you up. Otherwise very pleasant stay.
Marriott should tell their loyalty customers not to stay at this location. I have never left a bad review of a Marriott until now. The lady at the front desk when I checked in was the only positive part of this stay. Please spend some real money and bring this hotel up to your standards.
I’m probably spelling it wrong but they know we love them both. Cordell & Jerry make this our second home in all honesty. When we see them we know our stay is going to be like a second home away from home. I hope BRENDA can follow because when we see her at check in we know our stay is going to be difficult. Everyone is is immaculate we literally have a silver status because of this location.
We were given this hotel choice for a voucher from a flight cancellation late at night. Several people went to this hotel from our flight around midnight. The shuttle came quickly and it was a short drive to the hotel. The night attendant Brenda was so kind and efficient especially considering she had so many people to check in at once with airline vouchers that take more time. She had fresh water available. The room was very clean. The shuttle back to the airport in the morning again arrived on time and got us there quickly. Considering how stressful it was with the flight issues, it was great having a nice hotel to stay the night.
For starters, we walked into our room, and it smelled like cigarettes (gross). The room itself was clean. But it definitely is an older building with lots of 'patch repairs.' The ac did not work properly, so our room was pretty hot. We had to move the dresser by the tv so we could pull out the bed in the pull-out couch. The area around the pool was SOO SLIPPERY!! I'm not sure how that is allowed. The breakfast was good!
