The Fairfield Inn & Suites Denver Airport at Gateway Park consistently receives positive feedback for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location near the airport. However, some guests have reported issues with inconsistent shuttle service, particularly regarding communication and timeliness, and problems with room temperatures and linens.
Great! The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to help. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! Joyana is lovely!
I am a flight attendant that lives out of state but based here in Denver. I stay at this hotel every week as long as they’re not fully booked. I’ve tried a few other hotels in the area and none compare when it comes to customer service and cleanliness! Every staff member including the shuttle drivers are very nice, genuine, and very hospitable. :) For my fellow airline commuters- the location is convenient especially if you’re on reserve and hate sitting in the hotel all day. There’s handful of restaurants right next door, a nice pond to walk around or hangout at, and a Costco right there as well. Way more walkable and feels safer than tower road in my opinion. :)
Kalelia at the front desk was very professional during check-in and went out of her way to accommodate my request for a room on the same floor as my family since I was visiting my mom. The entire staff across all shifts was incredibly helpful and friendly. We especially loved having Poppi drinks as a beverage option! Last but not least, our shuttle driver (I believe his name was Jose, correct me if I’m wrong. He was wearing a cross over bag) had such great energy and vibes on the way back to the airport! we really enjoyed the ride. Kudos to you all ?? Highly recommend this hotel!
We arrived around 6:30 pm on a very snowy day. The heater in the lobby was not working. But when we got to our room it was a balmy 80°. We turned off the heater and it was about 3:00am before our room finally cooled down to 68. Our sheets were like sandpaper and the fitted sheet was torn in two places. Otherwise the room was clean and the staff was professional. When we arrived at the lobby at 5:15 for our 5:30 shuttle it was freezing cold in the lobby. The “anytime” coffee was barely lukewarm. The shuttle experience was great. Service great. Shuttle …very dirty. We stay at Fairfield a lot. Not the best experience.
2/5 Disappointing Staff needs to give out more accurate information. We stayed at this hotel and made the days choices based on information provided 3 times to us by hotel staff. We said we wanted to return our rental car to Hertz feiday night and then get a ride back to the hotel and 3 times once in person, and 2 times over detailed phone conversation. The hotel staff said we just needed to call them once we had returned our car and someone would come and get us..nothing else. Then when we called after dropping the car off staff said we do not do that. And it took a couple minutes for staff to say we needed to take a shuttle bus back to the airport east door 507 island 3 for pick up. That is allot of detail for it not to be shared any of the times we spoke with staff 3 times before this. We had to cancel dinner reservations and it just caused extra stress. Then the next day we get on the shuttle for our morning flight which my husband had asked them to add us to when we checked in friday night and said we would take the 7:45 and then again in the morning spoke with staff to confirm the buss time..as we are all sitting on the shuttle buss to go to the airport.. the driver gets on and.starts asking who signed up for the buss this morning and was basically insinuating that some of us may need to get off? If you are keeping a sign up list to make sure the bus does not get full... oh my gosh use it!! I heard they ended up providing an uber for the person who could not fit on the shuttle. Better communication and organization is highly needed!! Train the staff to give correct information! Also room was booked for 4 people.. hardly any towels in the room. Asked for more and did not get them!!
I can't speak for the rooms. Although, I do favor Marriott over anyone else. My experience with this location is through the park and fly option. I flew out on the morning of Christmas Eve for an early 0630 departure. Arrived on the property at 0445, not realizing that their park and fly option wasn't open until 0500. I told myself I should be fine as long as we leave right at 0500. 0505 came and no shuttle in site. I approached the front desk clerk and she suggested that she would request an Uber instead for myself and two other guests for the airport. Driver arrives at 0515- cutting it very very close, but managed to make it to my gate as they were boarding. Despite the shuttle mishap, it was still a decent experience. The front desk lady was friendly and was helpful. I got back on January 1st at around 2045. I called the front desk requesting for a pick up. Front desk clerk by the name of Tay (not sure of the name) said it would be about 20 min. Shuttles came and went with no sign of their shuttle. After 30 min, I finally called back for a follow up. Same clerk answered clearly annoyed insisting I was at the wrong door when I told her repeatedly I followed her exact instructions. After about 10 min of this phone debacle, she describes their van had blue lettering. I said oh yes I see it now and without any sort of response, she hangs up on my face. I don't appreciate being hung up on, especially if I'm just doing what any other person would have done who's been waiting. Not to mention, they already had a history of being flaky with their shuttle. Driver on the other hand, was very nice and pleasant. I fly often, but not sure I would do it through this property again.
The room is nice and all. Better than some Fairfields and it feels pretty new. I probably should have expected this, but the parking lot has a charge because this is close to the airport. I booked this hotel because it's convenient at the end of a 12 hour drive, not because it has anything to do with the airport. I expect parking charges downtown somewhere, which is one good reason why we aren't staying downtown... Gah. I hate being surprised by a hotel. I'm very loyal to the Marriott brand and they know it by my status. Grumble grumble... The hotel is nice and all. I'm clearly venting... In the end, the manager called and was very nice about this. She refunded the parking, which was a nice gesture. It's a good hotel and if you are dealing with the airport, it's a perfect location.
This is the 2nd time my wife and I have stayed here before flying out of DIA for vacation. Both times the staff have been amazing. This most recent time (November 2025) we stayed a couple days before my 51st birthday…..we are Platinum members with Marriott. The staff had a little gift bag in our room with some goodies and a birthday card for me. When I went down after checking in with a question regarding parking while we were gone, another staff member (manager I think) also wished me a happy birthday. All around very nice and pleasant and professional. We will be back for a 3rd time.
My husband and I just got back from 3 nights there, and we were extremely happy with our stay. The whole hotel and our room, were extremely clean. The gym is really nice, and had everything you could possibly need. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The daily breakfast was really good, with a lot of options. We love that they provide a free shuttle to and from the airport, and our driver, David, was really great. We will definitely be back.
