Coyote Mountain Lodge offers a convenient location and pleasant mountain views, frequently praised for its friendly staff and comfortable rooms, particularly those with balconies. However, recent reviews highlight issues with breakfast offerings, inconsistent amenities (like the hot tub), and maintenance concerns such as mold and noise.

The hotel has a great location, friendly staff, and a beautiful view from the room. Those were definitely the highlights of our stay. However, there were a few disappointing aspects. The breakfast selection was very limited and didn’t offer anything particularly interesting, so we ended up skipping it. Housekeeping was not provided during our stay, even though we stayed for more than two nights. The biggest disappointment was the hot tub. The maximum temperature was set to 104°F, but the actual water temperature was only around 97°F, which made it feel barely warm and not very enjoyable. Overall, the location, views, and staff were great, but there is definitely room for improvement in the amenities and guest services.

Room wasn't ready, but they gave us the key. Just felt yucky to unlock the door and see the bed a mess and the ancient real metal room keys on the dresser. Double charged me and blamed it on the "3rd party booking agent (Hotels.com)" Refused the refund. The room we were reassigned to has a 1/2 inch gap at the bottom of the door. Nothing like knowing the weather without an app. Shower 3-in-1 gel empty, notified front desk. Crickets. Notified next day 3 hours later a used bottle of VO5 shampoo is handed to us. Breakfast is ok if you like frozen JimmyDean sausage and egg croissants or mini waffles. Fruit, oatmeal packets, muffins cereal also available. Coffee available, but don't take it to your room. No lids means easy to spill on your hands.

This is a great hotel in the perfect location. The room with the sofa bed and two TV's was nice. However, the directv satellite was in and out all night which is understandable because there were storms in the area. The heat and A/C were also not like other hotels. The machines only do so much. When I was there it was May and I just opened the window and door to the porch. The porch was also great for relaxing.

The man who checked us in was very kind, accommodating. The negative reviews of this place confuse me. Good little room with a TV, fridge, and microwave. Room was at a good rate, what did you expect 5 star room service?! Wonderful location, my fiancé and I will be coming back. Haters begone!

This place offers comfortable rooms with mountain views, a cozy garden, and amenities like free Wi-Fi, plenty of parking, and a to-go breakfast. Get breakfast early, I feel they ran out of food options. We found the breakfast hours and availability a little restrictive. It is close to Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. Everything was clean and our room was spacious. Even when it was not open, we saw they had a pool, hot tub, and playground. They have plenty of parking.

Loved my stay. The room was comfy. Great view off the private deck. The Elk were amazing to watch walk around and you could hear them all night. Had to watch out for a momma and baby by my rental. Will stay again if im ever back. Sorry if there is no sound in videos. But trust me when i say the elk were calling all night. Was nice to listen

The room was exactly what we expected and had all the amenities we needed for a short getaway from Denver. It was comfortable, safe, and in a beautiful location. It was also easy to stay here with our dog, which was so nice! I’d highly recommend this place.

A very well-cleaned and nicely maintained small motel that exceeded expectations. Everything was spotless, organized, and comfortable, making the stay very pleasant and relaxing. Even though it’s a smaller property, the quality of cleanliness and overall experience was much better than many larger hotel chains like Radisson, Marriott, Choice, and Best Western that we’ve stayed at before. The room was simple but thoughtfully kept, the atmosphere was quiet, and it felt well cared for throughout. Sometimes smaller properties really do it better, and this is a perfect example. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, peaceful, and reliable place to stay.

Stayed for a few nights last week - it was clean and updated. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Our favorite part was the fact that we had a walkout unit, which made it easy for us since we travel with 2 German Shepherds, and we could back right up to our door to unload. My only complaint was the breakfast that was offered. We arrived at 8:30am and everything was gone. Also, no sugar substitute for coffee? Really? We went into town and ate at Starbucks instead where an elk came to peer in at us - which was awesome - so not a big issue. Other than that, stellar stay, will definitely stay again when we're in town.

Stayed here with my family last week for 2 nights. It’s definitely a motel vibe. The bathroom has mold behind the wall paper and there was not much space to hang anything or put our toothbrushes and other bathroom supplies. The carpet was really gross. It was staining my socks black. We could hear everything our upstairs neighbors did. What are the pros? The view from the room was really nice. Mountains and the field where elk walked through. A bear attacked the trash can at night and pushed it down the street lol. ? Location- It was close to everything we wanted to see and do. Lake Estes is a short 2 minute drive from behind the building. For a short stay (2 nights) on a budget I would stay here again. If it was a longer trip I would pick somewhere else like a nearby cabin. Our room on the bottom level had 5 steps or so to get up onto the deck and then our room. I’m not sure if there’s wheel chair accessibility. My mom uses a wheel chair but can walk short distances so the few stairs worked out for her.
