The Courtyard Denver Golden/Red Rocks receives mixed reviews, with consistently praised staff and location near Red Rocks Amphitheatre. However, guests report issues with room cleanliness, outdated facilities, and inconsistent service, including buffering televisions and unsatisfactory room conditions.
The staff here was genuinely amongst the best I've ever had. So helpful and kind for checking in, checking out, and any other need I had. However, the room itself was sub par. Every single pillow case was stained. The mini-fridge was not working (RIP our leftovers). The shower had pieces missing and the soap was almost empty. Lastly, the walls seemed thinner than any other place I've stayed. I could hear everything the person next door did, including talking on the phone and drying their hair, and it sounded like it was happening in our room.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and are blown away by the kindness and helpfulness of the entire staff every single time. Tonight Britney went above and beyond tracking down makeup wipes for us! I cannot recommend this hotel more! Perfectly located, wonderful service, comfortable rooms! If I could give this place 12 stars I would! We definitely plan on coming back !
It would be a better place if their television cheap internet tv would not buffer every 30 seconds. A marriot this cheap? Who knew? ? Wish they would allow videos...its horrible, you can hear audio, but visual is scrambled. ? Day 5, still the same. Buffering. If they were not so cheap, tv would be great, seems like YouTube tv, with the slots ad every two minutes. Good luck if you think its a great place.
Horrible First Impression of Denver This is my first visit to Colorado and Denver, and unfortunately, this hotel has made it a poor first impression. My room (#200) appears outdated—likely last renovated decades ago—and the TV has significant issues (see photos). When I asked the front desk about switching rooms, the clerk mentioned there might be another available room with a double bed, which I was perfectly fine with. However, I got the impression she was reluctant to move me. Instead, she offered to fix the TV herself. She came to the room, turned it on and off, and provided instructions on how to use the remote to avoid the scrambled screen. This solution felt inconvenient and inadequate. When I followed up about changing rooms, I was told the hotel was overbooked. At that point, I gave up on being moved and decided to share my experience to inform others. I also want to note that, as a Bonvoy member with status, my membership is usually acknowledged at check-in and I am offered the standard complimentary water or snack. That did not occur during my check-in, and I initially assumed this location might not offer that benefit. However, when I later returned to the front desk to inquire about another room, I observed another guest being checked in whose membership was acknowledged and who received a bottle of water. This inconsistency was disappointing. I typically stay at Marriott properties when traveling for work or leisure within the U.S., and this has been, by far, the worst room and service I’ve encountered. I will be here for two more days for work; if service improves or management offers a better room, I will update this review accordingly.
My husband and I need a home away from home! Marriott Denver Golden/Red Rocks and their amazing staff provided this home for us. Michael was always available to help us and always pleasant and kind. The same for Emma, Pia, Alex, Pao and Brenda!! Thank you so much for sharing your hearts and your home with my husband and I! Namaste xox Lorraine
I don’t normally give bad reviews because let’s face it, nothing is perfect and bad experiences happen from time to time. But I definitely feel the need to warn customers about this hotel and urge you to find another place to rest your head. Walked into the lobby expecting somewhat of a quick check in because I already paid for the room online. Didn’t happen. The front desk was so slow I stood waiting in line for 30 mins to check in. When I got to the counter finally something felt off with their employee. She was telling me personal things I didn’t care or even want to hear. Just wanted the room key. As she rambled on about weird things she told me she needed my card for an incidental charge that would hold and then be applied back to my card. Well she ended up charging my card all over again for the entire stay. When I asked her about it she began to get really rude and short with me. So I showed her my bank charge for the second amount and then she wanted my card a THIRD time. I said no way you’re charging my card a third time. This lady was so rude to me at this point I literally wanted to walk out and find another hotel. When I made it to the room finally….. DISGUSTING The furniture was soiled and there were hairs from the previous guest on the toilet. Didn’t even want to sit down or put my belongings on this furniture. Had to add the photos to the review. No more complaining from me, just warning others. Trust me please, find a different hotel. This Marriott is not good at all.
Great location for a hotel as it is close to many restaurants and stores. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! Shoutout to Micheal for bringing a microwave up to our room and providing great recommendations!! The room was clean and very comfortable. The parking lot was clean and of an adequate size. We will absolutely be staying here again if we need a hotel in the area!
The rooms are typical, but the friendly, eager to help staff make this hotel feel warmly welcoming. (And the free cookies are a thoughtful extra treat.) I’ll definitely be back.
Great place to stay when going to Red Rocks Amphitheatre. You're just about 10 minutes away and am easy ready ride share away. The service is great, although a little understaffed if you're in a hurry. The rooms are very satisfactory, but dated enough to feel a little uncomfy. The beds and pillows are great. Overall, I would definitely recommend this Marriott of you're going to a concert at Red Rocks, but not for a luxury stay.
