This centrally located hotel earns praise for its comfy, spacious suites and excellent service, but unfortunately suffers from inconsistent maintenance and a confusing parking situation. Guests frequently report issues with pests, broken appliances, and unresponsive staff.
I recently stayed at the Residence Inn Marriott, and unfortunately the experience was frustrating from the moment I arrived. There was no available parking to check in, and being familiar with the area, I can say the parking situation in front of the hotel is a complete mess. Cars were parked illegally, spaces were extremely limited, and it was unclear where guests were actually supposed to go. I initially parked in what appeared to be the designated Residence Inn guest area, but even then it was confusing to figure out where to enter the building. After finally finding a spot, I walked to what looked like an entrance, only to discover I couldn’t get in without a room key. A paper notice instructed guests to call a number for access, which felt like an unnecessary hassle just to check in. When I finally reached the front desk, the staff member explained that Marriott no longer offers daily parking and that I would need to scan a QR code to pay for parking separately, at a higher rate. This was never mentioned on their website, which still lists a daily parking fee. The lack of transparency was disappointing. Another issue was that no one mentioned at check?in that room service is not available unless requested in advance or done at checkout. This is something guests should be told upfront, especially when staying multiple nights. To make matters worse, later on I tried to enter through the main doors again and had to use the buzzer, but no one answered. I ended up waiting until another guest exited so I could get inside. Overall, the parking confusion, unclear access, and lack of communication really soured my stay. For anyone planning to stay here, be aware of the parking situation, the limited building access, and the need to request room service ahead of time. I hope the hotel improves its communication and guest experience moving forward.
Location 10/10 in the middle of downtown walking distance to 16th Street mall, Union Station, train ride to the airport and all the downtown Denver fun! Service was great very attentive and accommodating! The rooms, well ours was a suite I am not sure if they are all suites but that was an added bonus, but very clean and spacious with awesome views of you get a high enough floor. Love how clean the room and the hotel was. Breakfast was great too! They change the breakfast items daily so you get a little surprise every morning! 10/10 recommend when staying in downtown Denver!
We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite. Location is pretty good, and served our purpose. Honestly, the hotel itself is just mediocre. It’s in need of maintenance and updating. The closet bypass doors are off their tracks, the carpets are worn, the bathrooms are dated. The front desk was unfriendly when we checked in and unavailable for 10 minutes when I went to checkout. It felt like a 2-star hotel. The breakfast was uninteresting and primarily of packed items and processed foods. The workspace was a desk tucked into a window pocket. Not well thought out. The kitchen and appliances were sufficient. The “dining” table was only big enough for 2 people but this was a 2-bedroom unit. It’s fine for travelers needing the basics. Honestly, I wish we would have just stayed at the Renaissance Hotel for a few dollars more.
We had a lovely stay here! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty guid every day was something a wee bit different with the hot options. The location was perfect for getting about the city you could hop on the free bus on 16th street just 2 blocks away that took ya down to union station in just a few minutes or walk it took maybe 10 mins so very central. We would stay again!
Location was pretty centered to everything we wanted to do. One of the cleaner downtowns that we been to around the US. Hotel has free breakfast which is must. It’s not the most delicious but it is convenient and there are healthy options which I appreciate. Hot and cold options as well. Bathrooms and gym clean! Rooms are big enough for my family of 5. There is a small kitchen and a full size fridge! I like Residence Inns and this one is a great budget friendly option. There is also electric scooter parking next to this hotel so… obviously super fun for my family and easy to travel. The parking garage isn’t the best- the turn is sharp- other than that it’s convenient and yes you do have to pay but what downtown parking do you NOT have to pay for parking.. send it. Friendly staff- RECOMMEND
My friends and I stayed here for New Year’s Eve and the location was perfect! We thought the rooms were very comfortable and spacious for a multi-night stay. Special shout out to Heather at the front desk who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We’ve stayed here twice now and will always come back!
