This TownePlace Suites property has mixed reviews, with significant concerns regarding guest service and room quality emerging from recent stays. While some guests praised the friendly staff, particularly Correen and Jessica, a substantial number reported issues with room cleanliness, maintenance problems, and unprofessional interactions from staff. The property's location also has concerns related to homelessness in the surrounding area.
I had a family emergency and needed to stay for 2 months and found here so glad I did. Amy, Destiny, ladies at breakfast the housekeepers ALL WERE AMAZING. They all made me feel welcome and safe. Although my situation wasn't the best my stay was like a home away from home. The general manager is also amazing and works very hard. Thank you!
Worst experience in 25 years of Marriott hotel stays with several hundred nights on this two night stay that turned into one. Had the following issues. 1) Window screen in room was broke and on floor and window wide open upon late night arrival 2) heat was blasting on forth floor over heating entire building. 3) ac in room went out at 1am 4) TV was not working 5) 1 towell in the room. Had to leave at 6am so didn’t get a chance to talk to staff. Came back at 12pm. There was another customer disputing a billing issue for 15 minutes, lady at desk was pretty rude with him. So I sat and waited. Went to counter when they were done. Said we had some issues with the room last night. Showed her picture of window screen, she said yes, that was reported. No apology… then I said we slept poorly since heat was on in forth floor and our ac went out at 1am. She said maintenance is aware and working on my room. I said, that’s not possible as I hadn’t reported my room ac being out. She said I don’t appreciate being called a liar. I said I never called you a liar but no one is working on our room as we never reported. She then got major attitude and said so what do you want me to do. Said I am looking for some consideration on my stay (didn’t even have a chance to get to other issues) then said I’m done talking to you. Asked for manager and she said she was the manager which I later learned was a lie. She then turned back on me and left without taking any action and shut the door on me. I knocked on door and she wouldn’t come out. So I went back and called to lady at front desk. She then comes back out, tells me I’m not welcome at property and has 30 minutes to leave or will call police. I asked why, wouldn’t even talk to me. I said then cancel my night and I have to do a meeting then will leave after (in one hour) she said I had 30 minutes or I’m calling the police. Again, no reason, just being completely unprofessional. The other lady there was embarrassed, said I’m sorry this is only my 5th day. This was all avoidable with simple customer service. I’m sorry - how can we make this right. Not getting defensive and saying the customer is calling you a liar because you said wrong information and were dismissive. Marriott, I sure hope this isn’t who you want representing your brand. My overwhelming experience has been positive, have never lodged a complaint in 25 years…. So I go to my room, finish packing and as I’m leaving the police are there to escort me out so I left and checked into Courtyard down the road, much nicer/friendlier/safer. I called corporate and lodged a complaint, waiting on call back. Video is of the ‘manager’ whose card says Destiny Olivas, sales coordinator. I was told when I left I would get her name. There was another lady at counter who gave me the card and identified herself as the GM but didn’t have a card so I wrote it down as Shalini Tripathi. Again, no attempt to figure out what happened. Additional comments. Neighborhood is unsafe. Lots of homelessness in the area.
My trip started great. I was allowed an early check in and was appreciative of that. Rooms were clean staff was friendly. On my second day, I asked to be moved to a top floor room. Your FD agent Nichole was awful. She needs to be re-trained. Luckily I got in contact with the GM and she made things right for me. Then on my last day I met your auditor, Amy! Amy was wonderful. The sweetest lady, had a conversation with my friend and I for at least an hour. Maybe longer. She is a keeper!
Our experience at this TownePlace Suites was a textbook example of poor communication and professional negligence. Despite receiving a call from the hotel at 12:23 PM stating our room would be ready by 2:30 PM, it was not available when we arrived. We were forced to wait at the lobby until 3:45 PM—well past the official 3:00 PM check-in time. Upon finally entering Room 128, it was clear the room had not been cleaned thoroughly. There were visible stains on the floor, and the dishwasher was filled with stagnant water, food remnants, and undissolved detergent. We immediately reported these issues to the front desk. Over the next several days, we had numerous follow-up conversations with the staff regarding the lack of cleanliness and the broken appliance. Each time, we were given verbal reassurances that housekeeping would be sent up and that a senior manager would come to speak with us directly. Despite these repeated promises, no manager ever reached out, and housekeeping never returned to clean the room. The Checkout Revelation: The most frustrating moment occurred at checkout. When I told the woman at the front desk that our stay was unsatisfactory, she immediately claimed she was a manager and was already "aware" of our issues. She argued that she was "angry" we had been assigned that room because it "typically takes 4 hours to clean" and should never have been given to us. When I asked why—knowing this—she never contacted us to move us to a functional room, she was left speechless. It was clear that the "awareness" she claimed resulted in absolutely zero action. Ongoing Service Failures: • Neglected Housekeeping: We stayed for six days without a single visit from housekeeping. They removed our used towels but never replaced them, and we eventually had to go to the front desk ourselves to ask for garbage bags and dish soap. • Ineffective Maintenance: When maintenance finally arrived to look at the dishwasher, the technician only used a wet vac to remove the grime and stagnant water. He did not speak English and was unable to communicate if a repair was made; regardless, the underlying drainage issue was never fixed. • Poor Facilities: The bathtub was also extremely slow to drain, and the breakfast area was so unappealing that we chose to eat elsewhere entirely. Walls are also very thin that we could hear every noise coming from floors above us and outside. This property suffers from significant management lapses and a total lack of follow-through. To be told at checkout that management knew the room was substandard but chose to leave us in it is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a Marriott Bonvoy property. We do not recommend staying here.
I'm super disappointed in my stay at this hotel. I came here with my parents for a vacation and was looking forward to using the pool because it was heated but obviously maintenance sucks because it was out of order then right before we left we wanted to hang out by the fire and Fernando wouldn't turn it on for us. It's part of the amenities of the hotel so I don't see why we weren't able to use it! Breakfast was the same none of it was good. And their maintenance dude wouldn't stop staring at us whenever we were in contact with him he made my mom feel really uncomfortable. We have stayed in plenty of hotels and this on by far was the worst one. The manager needs to really consider finding new people to run this property because she is either incompetent or she doesn't care if this hotel gets shut down or fall apart. Our room had cracks in the walls and ceilings and the showers were awful. Jessica was super sweet and helpful. If it was up to me she would have been manager of the hotel. We asked for our fridge to be looked at because it wasn't working the maintenance man came in flipped the breaker it worked for a couple hours and went right back out so obviously he doesn't know how to do his job. I did not enjoy my stay at this town place and neither did my parents we will not be returning. Be careful cause I heard a guest complain that they were over charging her to so I'd be careful.
Let me get the cons out of the way first. Some of the trim is a little rough and broken. But it looks like they're working on it. My shower was doing a weird thing with the shower head lever but that's a simple plumbing fix and I'm sure they'll repair that before next guest stays. The door in my room was... almost impossible to open as a disabled person. And my room was one of the ones where there was a doorway in front of two room doors and lord have mercy trying to navigate a luggage trolley through that S curve with a hard to open door and being disabled was... my cardio for the day. Also, weekdays were quiet but weekends were one street takeover after another? I thought the point was to not hit the same place to avoid the cops but it was 3 nights in a row. Although on the 3rd night the cops were waiting. I can't tell if this is a newer build with extra sturdy construction or a great remodel of an older building with great bones because it was solid and quiet. The AC didn't want to cool when it was so cold outside so I cracked the widnow open a little and realized quiet the building was. There's a lot of noise outside that building is protecting you from. Couldn't hear neighbors either. It's sturdy and silent. The service is actually Amazing and if Marriott is ever looking for a new CEO, they should seriously consider Jessica. Although apparently there are three of her because she seemed to always be there and do the work of like 3 people. It was a great stay. Very affordable for the quality. Would 100% stay again. 10/10.
Correen at the front desk was just AWESOME! So friendly, helpful, and accommodating! I was counting on my room to include a bathtub since I bought myself some super nice bath salts and a bath bomb for a relaxing night in. Correen walked me to my room just to verify and when we found the room only had a standup shower she took the time to find me a different room and even threw on an upgrade! Only feedback for housekeeping is the kitchen wasn’t as clean as it should be. The bathroom was near spotless, but the kitchen could have used a solid cleaning of the silverware and wipe down of the drawers. OH! And the morning breakfast didn’t include many options… I’d count on bringing your own groceries to cook in room or go out to eat- but somewhat to be expected for a free hotel breakfast.
I travel all over the country, staying in various hotels for months at a time and have been doing so for years. This is the first time I’ve ever given a review. So let’s start with how it began for me: I check in, later in the evening. I’m accustomed to my studio rooms, but this time they offered me an upgrade (assuming) based on my length of stay. I found that incredibly kind. The breakfasts are consistent and good. Not just good for “hotel breakfast” but actually good. The staff is highly attentive to the property and the needs of their guests. They’ve taken time to just talk to me as a person and know my dogs name. Anytime I speak with someone they always ask if there’s anything they can do. Typically there’s fresh cookies out for us in the lobby. The hotel is quiet. The guests are quiet. The location is quiet. As for the location, it’s pretty centered for convenience. There’s food, a nice little bar and shopping really close by. I can hit most of my needs within a 2 miles. The gym is actually nice and has worthwhile equipment and is incredibly clean. Staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. From leadership to maintenance, each person here is actually sincerely friendly. This is probably my 5th maybe 6th review overall, I get no benefit from this but it stands out enough to me that I wanted to share my experience here.
Was here from Thursday to Monday for a wedding and it was the perfect spot to lodge while in Denver/Thornton area. They have massive and strong grills outside along with a fire pit that is perfect while sitting and enjoying the weather. I really enjoyed the full suite/studio that we had that had a stove and a full sized fridge and dishwasher. Shout out to Jessica and Cam, they really made us feel welcome and excited to be there.
The room had a hole in the carpet and one wall hvac unit didn’t work. The microwave breaker had tripped for an unknown reason so I reset it. There were tar stains all over the bathroom floor. The breakfast was poor with watery oatmeal and terrible coffee. They ran out of coffee 3 days in a row. We were greeted by a homeless camp one morning just across the street. The hallways desperately need to be vacuumed. The front desk personnel were friendly but rarely visible. The house keeping was excellent. They are the only reason we didn’t move to a different motel.
