The Eddy Taproom & Hotel consistently receives positive feedback, particularly regarding its atmosphere, friendly staff, and convenient location near popular attractions like Red Rocks and downtown Golden. While praised for its overall experience, some guests have experienced inconsistencies in service speed and cleanliness.
Great little hotel in a nice location. The staff (outside of one rude bartender) was awesome - very friendly and helpful. They had e-bikes that we took out exploring. We were there to attend Rod Stewart at Red Rocks but he had to cancel ?. That gave us more time to explore the town of Golden which absolutely loved. We look forward to returning to The Eddy for the rescheduled Rod Stewart concert in 2027! ??
We had a wonderful stay at The Eddy! The hotel itself is very nice; modern rooms and amenities, comfortable bed, great view of the mountains. The staff, however, is where The Eddy really shined! They were incredibly helpful and communicative. We were visiting from the east coast and unfamiliar with the area. They made excellent recommendations for hiking, local restaurants, and easy transportation options; they helped with booking private transportation for Red Rock; and they made us feel valued even when there were multiple weddings onsite throughout our stay.
Really liked the hotel concept, deco, coffee in hallway & location. Not pleased with the cleanliness of our room: Sticky, dusty, dirty surfaces. Windows need cleaning to appreciate views. You will also hear the surrounding highways. Blake gave us great service at the bar & our food & drinks were delicious.
This review is mostly regarding the Tap Room. First, we were seated in chairs outside, with multiple other people and tables. Service was painfully slow. After an hour of wondering why other people were getting service, but not us, we finally found out there is no service at the chairs (only at the picnic tables about 10 feet away.) Apparently there are usually signs, but they were taken down due to the breeze. The manager was super nice about it and gave us a discount. However, the food was terrible too. Cannot imagine anyone enjoying this much salt on anything - there was so much salt, I wasn't even sure what the seasoning was. Nachos with pork were good, albeit a very tiny amount of pork. Overall a disappointing dinner. The room was nice, but windows thin and we could hear all of the noise from the fire pit below. Pictures make it look like the hotel is in the mountains, but actually right next to the freeway, so lots of traffic noise. Will not stay again.
Consistently slow service otherwise maybe our favorite place in Denver. The vibe is awesome, the view is awesome, the food is great, the drinks are great. Of the 10 times we’ve been here, whether it’s busy or slow, the servers come by far too in frequently. Not sure what it is, but it’s been consistent every single time we’ve been there. If they could fix this, it would easily be the best place in Denver.
What a gem in Golden! We stayed here overnight to try and help our infant acclimate to the altitude before heading to Breck. The beer tasting at check-in was a wonderful touch and we absolutely loved the live music at dinner at the taproom on site. Rooms were beautiful. Even had a plush pack’n’play mattress. Would love to come back and explore even more!
Love this hotel! Such a cute and welcoming hotel in the mountains of Colorado. The tie ins in the decor to the mining history was pretty cool too! Loved the coffee in the hall and the breakfast! Also loved that you could try a beer as soon as you checked in! And at the restaurant the burger and salad was great too!
I've recently become a regular at The Eddy. Their food is fantastic, drinks are great, and the service is stellar. The ambiance is lovely as well - always the right music, excellent decor. It's giving fine dining but with affordable prices. I would like to mention 2 exceptional bartenders, Flower and Bella. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable. As a Golden resident, I have to mention the ample parking as well. If I ever have anyone come to town, I'm hands-down recommending their stay to be at The Eddy. The location is super convenient, close to the Lookout Mountain, Red Rocks, and downtown Golden. The views are unbeatable. All around, just a fabulous place.
The beat stay I’ve experienced in a while. The staff is so friendly, and accommodating! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, very clean! Housekeeping is on point every time we came back to our room the towels were fresh and the room was clean. I also have to mention the breakfast accommodations were the best I’ve ever had. I got engaged here in Colorado on this trip and the staff left cupcakes and champagne for us in the room. It was certainly one of the best stays I highly recommend you wont be disappointed.
My experience was amazing from the time I walked in the door and was greeted by Jules. My group was a little early for our reservation so Jules guided us to the bar. At the bar Bella and Jay both made us amazing drinks! When it was our time to be seated for our reservation Jules showed us to our table that’s where Karlee took over. Karlee was amazing from the beginning to the end. She was extremely knowledgeable and informative about everything on the menu. After ordering our food and eating we were visited by chef Nick where he made sure everything turned out to perfection. It did! I would recommend a visit to the Eddy to anyone looking for great food and an even better atmosphere that is in the area! I can’t wait to visit again!!
