Guest reviews for this budget hotel are significantly divided; while a few visitors praise its comfort and cleanliness, the majority report serious issues with hygiene, unresponsive staff, and maintenance.
The absolute most unsanitary “hotel” I have ever stayed in. During our entire stay, we never once saw a housekeeper. We were forced to take our own trash out all week and repeatedly go to the front desk just to get clean towels. The shower was disgusting and still had other guests’ hair in it, which is completely unacceptable. The walls were peeling throughout the room, showing a severe lack of maintenance and cleanliness. This property clearly does not meet even the most basic standards of sanitation or hospitality. The only positive thing I can say is that the bed was soft—but that does not come close to making up for the overall experience.
Terrible experience. We were given a room where the toilet would not flush at all. We reported the issue that same night. Since maintenance was not available, a staff member came to look at it and told us to “just flush, hold, and wait.” The toilet never worked, no matter how many times we tried, all night and again the next morning. It is extremely uncomfortable and stressful to try to have a normal morning when you cannot even flush a toilet in your room. The next morning, I went to the front desk and asked if I could temporarily use the general bathroom, since our room’s toilet was completely unusable. The front desk attendant at that time, Shauna (not sure of the exact spelling), refused and said it was “policy,” even after I clearly explained that this was an emergency caused by a defective toilet in the room they assigned us. There was no empathy and no willingness to help. When I asked for someone to fix the issue, I was told maintenance was still not available, and no alternative solution was offered. Only after insisting did they offer to change our room. When I returned with the key, I was strangely asked if we were extending our stay, which we absolutely were not. The new room we were given was unacceptable, the bed was not even made. I am not satisfied at all with this experience. I am also genuinely concerned about being charged or blamed for toilet issues that were clearly present when we arrived. The lack of accountability, care, and basic hospitality is extremely disappointing. From my perspective, the way this situation was handled feels unethical and far from acceptable standards. This place is disorganized, sketchy, and lacks even the most basic level of customer service. When there is a serious problem, the staff is not willing to help or take responsibility. I strongly recommend not staying here.
We came down here for a funeral and stayed at this hotel because it was close to the cemetery. They did accommodate me and put us on a ground floor due to my handicap. But that is where it ended. The room was ok. It smelled really musky when we first went in. When we asked for a shower chair they said I could not have one as that was only in the handicap rooms and they could only give me a wooden chair from the dining room that maybe that could work. I declined. They also have no elevators so there is little to no accessibly in this place. Don’t trust pictures of the breakfast either it was just muffins and dry cereal. Overall not a great experience.
This hotel was professional, quiet, convenient and in a great part of Denver near anything-entertainment, shopping and great affordable restaurants. They allow pets as well which i need for my family. Never heard a pin drop at night. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a safe, quiet, affordable place you can bring the whole family?
We walked into the room and were hit by a heavy cloud of cigarette smoke in our non-smoking room. I called the front desk and was told there were no other rooms to switch to. I pressed, and the receptionist said she could try to move us to a sister hotel. It was past midnight, and I said we'd deal with it. I turned on the AC to high fan, and under the smoke smelling sheets to deal with the heavy smoky smell. My daughter says she was cold during the night and the bed sucked - in her words, she woke frozen and with a broken spine. I woke with a sore throat and asthma. Sometimes we look for budget hotels to stretch our travel budget further, but this hotel showed us that we've gone down the wrong road in life. We need a U-Turn with our decision making.
Is this a 5 star hotel? Absolutely not. You kidding? But it gets 5 stars for being absolutely exceptional at what it is. These beds were way more comfortable than they had any right to be. Person at the front desk was prompt and friendly. The place is clean, parking is easy and available. I was truly prepared for a grungy, uncomfortable night when I got here in the middle of the night and honestly have nothing to complain about. What more could you ask for. Fantastic value. I would come back to stay again.
