The Niwot Inn & Spa consistently receives positive feedback, lauded for its relaxing atmosphere, charming decor, and friendly staff. While many guests appreciate the convenient location and comfortable rooms, significant concerns have been raised regarding food safety and breakfast quality.
Ryan and Bree did an amazing job with our couples massage. It was exactly what we both needed. Best massage I’ve had in a long time! Would highly recommend!!
Husband has business frequently in a neighboring town. I joined him for a trip and found this gem. Lovely , retreat-like, stay. Very relaxed vibe within the inn with beautiful rooms and attentive staff. Will definitely be back.
Massages were very good, decor is very nice. However, do not eat food or drinks they sell in room as of present. After eating *expired* Reeses and cookies today that they sell, ended up getting thirsty later this evening. Wondered why tea tasted bitter. They’re serving guests 2 year old drinks as option in rooms. Bottled drinks and food very expired. We’ve been patient and respectful with a lot of these things but drinking a sour two year old tea tonight finally led to leaving review as we don’t want anyone getting food poisoning because my stomach hurt after drinking it, more than likely just from being grossed out from age of drink. Ultimately it shouldn’t be on guests to verify food and drinks being sold by an establishment are safe to eat and drink. They stated they own restaurant nearby so they should especially understand importance of creating a system that regularly verifies expiration dates of **all** food and drinks sold at establishments. Better idea for business: Don’t offer food/drinks in rooms. In a worst case scenario, a prior guests could tamper with food/drinks for future guests. Safer business approach is to offer snack and drink options via desk during business hours and guests can buy from staff. Owner could ask staff to do weekly expiration date checks prior to selling. Print sheet with images of snacks for sale keep on top of desk. Could give snacks to staff a few days before expire. Breakfast is very processed. Minimal protein options. Chobani yogurt out at breakfast but chobani is under lawsuit for toxins in yogurt. Breakfast would be better if had less processed options like bananas, oranges, Dave’s bagels station, so on. Boiled egg was only non processed food I saw. Rooms are nice but had issue with clogged toilet and shower heat staying hot when trying to turn temp down. Had to shower and use toilet in different room on day 1. Prior guest hair was in shower upon arrival. They did great job at addressing these small things following morning. They just need a better system for snacks/breakfast. Could also add water temp and toilet flushing checks as housekeeping task after guests leave so guests don’t wind up in room with unexpected issues. Overall, really cute spot. Good area of town, close to a lot of thing, walking distance to food. With updating things listed above, it’d be an easy 5/5 stay. Guests here are great. Typically an older crowd. Quiet folks so no issues getting sleep here.
We always love staying here. Great rooms and very relaxing environment. Right downtown for easy access to restaurants etc. Very accommodating staff.
We loved our stay at Niwot Inn and Spa. The service and hospitality were excellent. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for “Rooms” because it feels optimistic to assume that two adults can sleep comfortably on a double bed. With two adults and a 7-year-old, the room felt quite cramped, and I can’t imagine accommodating four adults comfortably. I would also love to see more visible recycling and composting options, though I hope these practices are handled behind the scenes.
The Niwot Inn and Spa is one of my favorite get away locations. The inn is beautiful and each room is unique and wonderful. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they create a welcoming environment. This visit I booked a spa treatment and I’m so glad I did. The massage from Grace was phenomenal…. Truly. I would book her again and again. This was one of the best massages I have ever received. It made my visit even more memorable.
We love the Niwot Inn and stay here whenever we travel west to visit our son and his family in Niwot. The rooms are beautiful with Native American influences and perfectly located in this lovely town. Breakfast was delicious and the staff is very helpful. The new restaurant Fortezza is across the street and is amazing and there is a great coffee shop, Oak, in town. You get such a sense of calm in every space. We love it here!
Niwot Inn and Spa is absolutely fabulous. The rooms are so comfortable, with wonderful amenities. They offer a great complimentary and the whole inn is so comfy and cozy. The staff are lovely and genuinely want you to have a great stay. My massage with Ryan was first class. He provides a fantastic mix of relaxation and therapeutic work. I highly recommend booking a session with him- you will not be disappointed!
At the risk of attracting too many visitors I have to state that the Niwot Inn is one of the most welcoming destinations in the US. Everything about the inn is charmed and charming. So much care has been spent in proving a nurturing environment. The rooms are not just tastefully decorated, but the amount of care and attention to details is exceptional, especially the use of natural stone in the bathroom and around the fireplace. It is a place of relaxation and comfort. A separate paragraph for the owners and staff is also merited. They care about their guests, and not just in answering commonplace questions. They smile and engage in meaningful conversations, thus providing a context for the township that surrounds the inn. The guests we met there reflected the warmth and attention the owners and staff. A continental breakfast is available and provides all that is necessary to begin the day afresh and invigorated. We were unable to partake in the evening wine and cheese offering, but just knowing it was there added to our comfort. A rainy afternoon would have provided ample justification for returning in time to enjoy the treat. Finally I will add that the town of Niwot is also worthy of exploration. Near enough to Boulder for easy access, it is not large, and the residents obviously care about the town and its stores, which are eclectic and very atmospheric, especially the old smithy. Five stars across the board Well worth 5 stars across the board
