Motel 6 Wheat Ridge, CO, receives mixed reviews, with significant concerns about cleanliness and room conditions, particularly regarding stains and lack of amenities. While some guests praise the helpfulness and accommodation of certain staff members like Bill and Richard, issues with room availability, parking enforcement, and unprofessional interactions persist.

The AMAZING staff that work here is the biggest reason I will always choose this place to stay over the other Motels. The location is decent ,right off the highway exit. There is a Dennys in basically the same parking lot, a gas station , a Target, and a few fast food chains right across the street, which are all very convenient when your tired after a long day of driving. Gated parking will allow you to rest without worrying for the safety of your vehicle. Youll get a great nights sleep because the place is nice and quiet. The rooms could use a little upgrade though. There isn't any mini fridge or alarm clocks in any of the rooms yet the website clearly states they are available and only SOME of the rooms have a microwave. Don't expect much as far as space goes because the rooms are extremely small, but if your only staying over night, want to feel safe, be greeted with a smile and a very friendly and helpful front desk staff, AND spend less then $100 TOTAL...Then this place is just perfect!

Absolutely filthy. The staff was nice, but the rooms and beds were disgusting. We actually slept in sleeping bags rather using the stained sheets and pillows. There was filth in the corners of the bathroom which made a nice home for the spiders and their egg sacks.

I walked into my room and was immediately overwhelmed by the smell; it smelled like something had died in there. The sheets had multiple stains and there are stains all over the walls. And according to the little note card it was cleaned the day I checked in! I complained and the guy at the front desk came by with a new set of sheets and a can of Febreze. No apology or offer to move me. My friend has a room here as well and her room is perfectly fine. I am stuck here for 3 days because I can't afford anywhere else. I've been to multiple Motel 6s during the roadtrip I'm on and this was by far the worst. EDIT: I bit the bullet and checked into a hotel 3x the price of this one so I didn't have to spend the rest of my vacation here. When I told the woman at the front desk that I was checking out early because of how unacceptable my room was, she said "Yeah, I don't know why they gave you that room." So staff knew it was filthy and put someone in it anyway?!? The smell from that room lingered on my belongings for a day and a half afterwards.

Bill was absolutely helpful and knowledgeable to us. He allowed us to unhitch our trailer and park right upfront, as also I needed to be able to use handicapped ?? parking. It allowed us to drive up lookout mountain to Buffalo Bills grave site and do some site seeing. The next morning another staff member, Marcus I think, was not very happy that we were parked upfront, there were no signs that said we could not, and only one sign 3 spots down that read 15 minutes parking. A bit misleading, but he kept repeating how and where I was allowed to park, which was a bit rude, he was really put out which we found to be unprofessional. Overall, a bit of a shady area, characters roaming around. Rooms were ok, but room service never came to clean or give us fresh towels/soap, had to ask. Big thanks to Bill for his hospitality. Day 2, front desk morning person touched our vehicle and placed a towing sticker on our vehicle. Clearly harassing us and now feeling unsafe for trailer and vehicle, all this after Bill and supposedly manager said we were parked Ok. This morning manager Clearly is not communicating to her staff the actual rules of the hotel and parking. We checked out a day early, in the pictures you can see, the parking lot is empty, so we did not understand what the fuss was about. In all my travels, we have never had this problem, the manager Clearly takes no pride in her job or staff.

Bikers. I was stranded due to the weather. Bill understands and was more accommodating then most high end places i have stayed. Bill made made sure my bike was taking care of and didn't hurt me with the price. Bill was amazing wish people like him were everywhere

A reservation was made for friday and Saturday night. A phone call was made to front desk for them to make note that we would not be checking in until early Saturday morning(8amish) sometime due to driving. This was to ensure after driving 15 hours a room would be ready to sleep since we drove through night. Arriving Saturday morning about 830am the front desk said there was no room, it was cancelled by night audit, check in would be at 3pm. Rather than front desk staff suggesting a new room they were very unprofessional and rude to a 23 year old who planned very detailed for the trip. A phone call was then made to front desk where the female front desk person was again very rude, cutting off and raising voice. Caller then said a room is really just needed, after driving 15 hours. Staff checked and there was a room and basically demanded "there are 2 people on reservation, does the other person have an id because we need it." Caller said ofcourse they do ?. Anyway you get what you pay for obviously. So the lesson for the new trip planner is cheaper is not always worth it. Although we have stayed at the Red Roof inn in different states and they are always professional when presenting policies or questions. The male staff never made a note in reservation to state late check in. Ridiculous is all I can say.

Didn't make a reservation. Did still get a room with no trouble. They said it was the last one they had. It was relatively clean. No sign of bugs or anything like that. No fridge. Had to move the nightstands to get to the outlets. The table was not connected to the base in the middle of it, so we couldn't use it at all. Someone came knocking on our door 30 minutes before check out to ask if we were staying another night.

I booked last night for the 1st time with them..having missed my bus I was in a desperate situation with little cash on me.. from booking to staff they went way & beyond for me. I needed to rebook for the next few hours while waiting for next bus & Richard at front desk showed me the greatest patience & assisted me in the best possible way. I was honestly surprised at how he & even night front desk Christopher acted professional & yet so helpful at the same time. I made sure I signed up as a member of Motel 6 based on the service I received. The rooms are really clean & environment peaceful. I Truly Recommend Motel 6 especially Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

The positives with this property far outweigh any negative. The front desk staff particularly Richard and Shannon are excellent and very helpful. The property is a little dated but the rooms are usually in really pretty great shape. The housekeeping staff is excellent as well. Finally the area is really great for shopping and dining. Highly recommend.

Considering you can go luxury and pay 2-3 times as much, this place was very accommodating. My room was clean, stocked properly AND everything works (TV, lights and A/C). The place was quiet in terms of other guests but it is next to the highway so every now and then you will hear a semi tumbling down, at times shaking the place up a little bit thats out of their control. Some of the furniture is a little dated- but they do their best to have it clean and compared to other economy places I've stayed at, this place by far has been my favorite.
