The Super 8 by Wyndham Longmont/Del Camino receives mixed reviews, primarily highlighting cleanliness and service concerns. Recent feedback indicates issues with room conditions, a poor breakfast offering, and unhelpful staff, despite some positive comments about the location and basic amenities. The overall experience appears dated and potentially unreliable based on recent reviews.
Clean rooms, friendly helpful staff. Property a little dated. Easy check in check out.
The room was clean and a good size. The price was fairly reasonable, and the hotel staff was polite for the most part. However, the manager was extremely rude.... after the first 2 days I was told I had to move rooms as someone had a reservation for the room I was assigned. I obliged, and moved to another room....the manager was extremely pushy while I was moving my stuff to the next room. She said "I know your type, always want something for nothing and wait until the last minute to book the room". Extremely unprofessional and unpleasant. Other tenants were loud and arguing with other rooms. Doors slammed all night.
Would not recommend this hotel. We had many issues with our stay. Cleanliness was an issue, no hot water, key card never worked.
This poor quality hotels' price should be MUCH lower! It's 1 of the cheapest around but still costs over $100/night & isn't even clean. We initially thought everything in our room was broken because it was all unplugged - the fridge was warm w/ a puddle & lights didn't work. We had to use extension cords that were hidden behind the furniture - hard to reach & janky w/ power cutting in & out. There aren't outlets near the bedstands, so BRING A LONG PHONE CHARGER CORD! The TV only had 16 viewable channels & no guide. The tiny microwave worked but looked nasty! There was a grubby lil coffee maker in room w/ all the fixins available other than a stir stick. The whole hotel was saturated w/ the overwhelming scent of a deodorizer, sprayed heavily 2 mask the fact they don't clean properly. The bedding/towels were dingy & stained, covered w/ shoe prints like the laundry is stepped on B4 folding. The floor was so sticky it'd peel UR socks off & every surface had lots of smears & scuffs. A vacuum left in the hallway looked like it'd never been been emptied or cleaned, as did many other spaces. The mattress had food crumbs on it, but luckily no sign of bed bugs. It & the small pillows provided were surprisingly comfortable. The office chair & desk/TV stand were nice, but the lounge chair looked like it's been there since the '70's - Even my dogs refused to sit in it. The shower/tub was large - it had great pressure w/ plenty of hot water. The drains were slow & the vent fan couldn't blow heat/moisture out so there was mildew damage/ black mold in the bathroom. Thankfully the toilet was clean w/ a decent flush, but it ran nonstop unless U jiggled the handle. It was VERY LOW 2 the ground, so if U have trouble getting on/off the toilet I recommend getting a handicap accessible room. It was a miracle the AC worked because it's filters were filthy but stuck & impossible to clean. The dryer was the same way - They're lucky the lint trap hasn't caught on fire yet! The "laundry room" is just a coin operated washer & dryer ($2/load) in the hallway. The ice machine was broken, rigged w/ a switch on the side. It took awhile to dispense a lil @ a time, giving the impression nothing was gonna come out. The free breakfast is a total joke! There was NOTHING available, not even coffee, just dry cereal in dispensers w/o milk & a waffle iron but no batter. The area was dirty & looked the same in the AM as it did @ night, so they obviously don't put any food out - FALSE ADVERTISING! Online Check-In was pointless... despite submitting info 2x B4 arriving I had 2 repeat the process there. The desk clerk barely spoke English, couldn't answer questions & we weren't given the Wi-Fi password. Our key cards worked flawlessly but weren't needed for the unlocked side doors, so the hotel isn't very secure - anybody can just walk in. We didn't see guards on site & the neighborhood seemed sorta sketchy. The front desk was unmanned when we tried 2 check out - a sign said 2 ring a bell 4 service, but nobody responded. The signage around the hotel was tacky & hostile, filled w/ threats. The notice about dogs being left unattended was especially alarming - they claim they'll immediately call the police! It's only $10/night/pet & they didn't ask 4 a deposit, but a place isn't truly pet friendly w/ drastic warnings like that posted. The grassy areas around the hotel were full of goatheads - NOT pleasant 4 dog walking. I don't recommend this Super 8 - it isn't a good value for the price. I gave it 1 extra star for having the basics, even though they're all on their last leg - Cold AC, hot water w/ pressure, soft bed, TV, fridge, coffeepot & microwave. We probably just lucked out w/ our room... odds R most of them have some serious issues. The price 2 stay @ a hotel like this should be considerably less!
If you’re a trucker, this place is great. If you’re a single woman, find a different hotel.
Room smelled of faint cigarette, but with air conditioner, it drowned it out. Front desk staff very busy, yet accommodating to my special needs.
This place is okay I suppose, when I stayed here I was annoyed that there were so many bikes parked outside as I assumed I wouldn’t be getting much sleep because of the rowdiness of a biker club staying there, but surprisingly I didn’t hear a peep from them!
Fairly easy to get to and has plenty of parking. There's a small table set up in the lobby for 'breakfast'. There's one washer and one dryer with very specific laundry times. No vending machine for detergent though. If you're signed up for Super 8 rewards, don't expect a discount at this location. The room was clean and smelled ok. Not a quiet place by any means, at least not the room we were in.
Accommodating, polite & understanding crew here. Spent more than a few days here figuring out where I would sign my next lease. Consistent and kind faces that are good for a laugh or two as you pass by the counter.
Don't ever stay here. You're wasting your money and time there. The manager, Maria, is incredibly unprofessional and will boast about how you'll never get your money back. All of these third party traveling apps will not help you get your refund even if you don't stay the night. Beware. Wyndham, you guys need to do better.
