Guests will appreciate an experience shaped by modern elegance and enduring appeal.
The Hilton Garden Inn Denver/Thornton consistently receives negative reviews, highlighting issues with cleanliness, cost, and service. Guests report problems such as unpleasant room odors, noisy environments, inadequate amenities, and unresponsive staff. While some positive comments mention helpful staff during events, the overall experience is marred by significant shortcomings.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. The price is high, but we never received room service during our stay. Water is charged extra, internet is charged extra, and the pool is not working. We requested extra towels and they never arrived. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again. Their website advertises free breakfast, which is completely false because they literally charge for everything — including breakfast. The rooms smell very strongly of chlorine or some other chemical, making it difficult to sleep. The rooms also need better cleaning, as there was visible dirt.
The room smelled like animals so we had to go to Target and get febreze and spray the room down three times. The air conditioner fan would squeak loud whenever it would turn on. And they would not let me put a Coca-Cola on my room tab, I had to drive to the convenience store. Not very good customer service.
They put us in a room directly above a banquet room area that they had booked a wedding with a very loud DJ. Why? Location is great but the rooms are small and the noise was awful.
Do not eat at the restaraunt. They served me mussels in apasta dish, the mussels were still closed after cooking meaning they were dead and likely had bacteria that would make someone very ill or dead. Stay away. How the chef or waitress could bring out a potentially harmful dish is beyond me. Anyone who has ever cooked shellfish knows this. The walls in the room are thin and we had extra loud drunk neighbors. The bathroom was dirty. Very disappointing first impression.
Cute room! Loud highway! Amazon trucks rolling up the exit behind the hotel all night. I was too tired when I arrived to complain about the strong sulfur odor in the room. Got used to it. And the coffee maker does not work. I’m not paying $3.75 for their Starbucks machine or $13 for breakfast access for more. The desk clerk, immediately assuming that I don’t know how to work the machine, offered to come up and “show me how to use it,” blaming housekeeping for putting the cup in wrong? She came up and manhandled the machine, pronounced it fixed, and left. Fake nice to the max. The lights on the machine stopped blinking, and pressing the go button did nothing. So I walked back down. Now she says maintenance will look at it. Great. Dumb. Tell me there aren’t a couple spare machines in a HILTON for these inevitable moments. These Keurig machines are crap as it is. So a full hour after I began the quest for my morning fuel, I took a cup from the breakfast area. I’ll mention that I have a bad leg, so having to do all of this walking for the coffee, that has been promised to me in my room, has increased the pain. My previous night, in a different room, was perfect. People are pretty dependent on their morning coffee. Hilton needs to have a much better way to deal with this simple but annoying issue - keep some spare machines! I’ll waive my consulting fee! Room 409. I’m unplugging the machine and moving it, then putting a note, in Spanish, saying it is broken.
Very poor hotel; Rooms represented as mountain-view are grossly represented as mountains were behind a large hospital. Paid extra for room overlooking freeway that was noisy with bright parking lot lights in window view. Coffee maker in room didn't work and when they found one that did there were no coffee pods left in hotel for two more days.Employees were untrained at check in and no one in housekeeping spoke English. Breakfast food was cold and overpriced. Talked to manager after checkout and he was rude and had me mixed up with another guest that had a dirty room.He refused to adjust the misrepresented room after having to check out early and blamed it on Expedia. Even desk clerk said she tells people not to book "mountain view.
Nice hotel. Breakfast is served by a restaurant so you have to pay for it. Most hotels that serve free continental breakfast would taste better. An elevator was down. One night they had no extra towels. For what we payed per room it was not worth it. Room was clean.
Was there for a luncheon event. Staff and servers were helpful & very attentive; great customer service. Food was very tasty and had appropriate portion sizes; we had 5 meal options (steak, chicken & pasta) and all were cooked perfectly. Meals were hot upon placement, and nothing was dried out or rubbery. Meeting room was spacious and well lit; room temp was reasonable. Overall very enjoyable event atmosphere and I look forward to attending more events there.
