Recent reviews highlight problems with unprofessional staff, room quality, and a generally unpleasant atmosphere. The property struggles with cleanliness, potentially uncomfortable room temperatures, and questionable service standards.
Here’s a new one! The front desk guy ate my $65 PF Changs order. It was Doordashed there, and it took me a bit to find it. By the time I found it (not ridiculous amount of time- like 25-30 min), he had opened and eaten it. Worst part: there would have been enough to share, but the animal ate out of the containers. How insulting! Absolute worst experience possible.
My kids and I are traveling across the country and started having car troubles. I stopped here in desperation. I wasn't expecting much but I did not like that the room was on a centralized heating/ac unit. We like to sleep cold and the heat was on at 75. Way too hot for us. The staff last night told me that to get my deposit back I need to check out. We like to leave early and I found out the office doesn't open until 8 am. That puts me right in the middle of rush hour to get out of Denver! Never going to stop here again.
This is one of the worst hotels that I've ever been to I didn't even get to stay which I'm kind of glad because the front desk or is the most unprofessional people that I've ever dealt with at a hotel ever in my life. I booked online already paid for the room and when I went to check in it was nothing but issues. He refused to check me in and when asked why I got multiple different reasons and stories because in reality I had never been to that hotel ever in my life before that day. But they claimed that I had stayed there before and that there were damages to the room that were never paid for which was untrue. When I try to get a refund they refused it and then said because I was smoking in the room. Which I find funny because I didn't even get into a room so basically they just ripped me off for my money and like I said I've never been to a hotel that's being so unprofessional ever. I would never suggest anybody to stay here or even make a reservation there because all that's going to happen is they're going to take your money and not allow you to stay there. Which to me is unfair unprofessional and just ridiculous.
Absolutely loved this place! This place was full of many family members, specifically found under the mini fridge! The owner was gracious enough not to call pest control or step on my lovely wife. We will gladly meet here once a year for family reunions :)
Been staying in motels for decades & this place was the worse. I book budget chains: some rooms better than others even within the same chain and a few independent motels I chanced ended up being even better. Not this old no-tell-motel. I was given an upstairs rooms that was baking in the 99F sun all day, opened the door & it reeked of old nicotine. Awful. I opened the window & propped the door open with the chair, but it did no good. The heater/"AC" unit is on the ceiling & just blows out puffs of warm air. No way I could sleep in a 80F room choking on old cigarette smoke. The hair dryer was just a nasty broken shell with no innards, but the motor cover holding a piece of thick curly afro hair. Complained to the office about the room & was switched to another in the breezeway. That room was no better. No AC, a huge nasty stain on the fitted sheet right where my head would lie and a hair dryer that didn't work, but was barely intact. Both rooms yellow from layers of nicotine & literally burning my throat. After about an hour & going to grab a bite, I made my decision. I knew I wouldn't get a refund, but no way I could sleep there 2 nights, especially Friday night, the night before my flight. I went over to Motel 6 across the way & it's 100xs better! Seems this place has been bad for years & as much as the owner says he cares, he clearly doesn't. I'll be much more careful & reserved about booking an independent property. Shame.
