The Days Inn by Wyndham Thornton receives mixed reviews, with significant concerns regarding cleanliness, safety, and customer service. Recent feedback indicates persistent issues with room maintenance, a potentially unsafe environment, and unresponsive staff. While some positive comments highlight polite front desk staff and basic amenities like breakfast, the overwhelming majority of reviews point to serious problems.

The whole staff from the cleaning crew and the front desk staff are very nice. They are all very helpful and they actually seem like they like their jobs, they always smile and are so polite. I've been to quite a few hotels due to looking for an apartment I can afford and Days Inn is the only hotel where it's a pleasant atmosphere.

Terrible place to stay. Warm water doesnt kick in until 10 minutes after running the water. Rooms are tiny and very loud. Walls are super thin and can hear everything from outside. Place gets shot up frequently. Homeless people filling the lobby at night cause they dont lock the doors like other hotels do. Homeless people all around outside during the day and my car was broken into during my stay while the car was parked right outside the front of the building. Its a 2 star hotel for a reason

I am absolutely LIVID about this experience at your hotel. A few days ago, we stayed one night before moving into our new place, and I accidentally left my baby’s pack-and-play mattress in the room. I KNOW it was there—I’m 100% certain. I called the front desk to ask if someone could check for it and hold it so I could come pick it up. The girl who answered was unbelievably RUDE from the start—condescending, dismissive, and acting like I was bothering her. I had to repeat myself FOUR TIMES just to explain what I was looking for, and by the fifth time, when I was understandably getting frustrated, she snapped back with an attitude and said she’d “check” and only call me if they found it—but she wouldn’t bother calling if they didn’t. Are you serious?! A simple courtesy call either way would have taken two minutes and shown basic customer service. Instead, I got treated like an inconvenience. Now I’m out $55 and have to buy a whole new mattress for my baby because either housekeeping threw it away, someone took it, or—this is what really burns me—this front desk person was so annoyed with me that she couldn’t be bothered to actually look or follow up. I’m furious. That mattress was definitely left in the room, and the complete lack of care or professionalism has me regretting ever staying there. This is unacceptable. Still waiting for my $50 deposit that I was not told about when I called about a room and made a reservation over the phone. Especially paying card you want a $50 deposit? How long does this take because I got the room Thursday and this is Monday.

The bad: My room had no hot water (not in the shower or sink)! The king bed was made up with a queen sheet that was too small for it (so all night I had to keep trying to stretch the sheet back over the corners.) When I arrived at the room, the TV was on (who was hanging out there before me?) Also, my room was 4 feet from the elevator and about 5 feet from an ice machine. The noise was intolerable (even when I put on earbuds with white noise.) The good: the front desk folks were polite, but I was promised a refund for not having hot water---which I haven't received. They have half and half and some hot food (biscuits and gravy) for the free breakfast which was nice. However, the coffee was basically brown water, the weakest coffee I have ever had at a hotel. The room and lobby seemed clean and fairly recently updated. But, since it was so noisy and there were so many sketchy characters in the lobby and outside, I did not dare look at the pool or fitness center. (I arrived close to 11 pm, and walked in on a woman and her extended family screaming at the front desk clerk.) In my many years of traveling for work, this is the second worst hotel experience I have ever had. I would have been safer and more comfortable sleeping in my car. I got this hotel using the Hotel.com app, which I will not ever use again.

Oh where do I start… First of all, I believe few of the guest were actually long-term tenants…. Cleanliness & Maintenance The room itself was in terrible shape. The toilet seat was disgusting, there was a suspicious blue liquid under the sink, and the only 2 lamps in the room didn’t even have lightbulbs — they were literally glued to the tables. The TV was fake and non-functional. The air conditioner didn’t not work properly. The room was always very warm despite lowering the temperature and adjusting the settings. The room felt dirty and poorly maintained from the start. Amenities & Comfort There was no hot water during my stay, likely because those long-term tenants used it all up. The breakfast was very disappointing — just waffles and biscuits with gravy, no eggs or sausage. In the laundry room, clothes were left sitting in machines for 6+ hours, making it unusable. On top of that, because we had a dog, we were put in the basement, yet we saw plenty of other guests taking their dogs upstairs without issue. Safety & Atmosphere The environment around the hotel did not feel safe. There were people loitering in the parking lot who appeared suspicious, and at night we had to deal with people banging on doors, shouting, and arguing in the hallways. At one point, kids from those long-term tenants were even throwing rocks at cars, which led to police involvement. At night, girls would sit in the breakfast lounge undoing their hair — later the hallways and even the parking lot were littered with hair extensions. To make matters worse, a cleaning staff member actually came into my room at 3:30 AM, which was beyond inappropriate and unsettling. Overall Between the poor upkeep, lack of hot water, unsafe environment, and constant disturbances, I cannot recommend this hotel. If you value safety, cleanliness, or even basic comfort, avoid this location at all costs. Overall Between the poor upkeep, lack of hot water, unsafe environment, and constant disturbances, I cannot recommend this hotel. If you just need a cheap crash spot, maybe it works. If you want comfort, safety, or cleanliness, avoid it. The one positive: front desk staff were friendly.

The staff was nice enough. However, one person messed up my reservation and then it was totally on me to fix her mistake which was stressful & time consuming. I offered various common-sense solutions and none were acted upon. Never heard an apology or even an acknowledgement of said screw-up from the manager. The "non-smoking" room reeked of smoke; I had a headache for the entirety of my stay as a result and my hair and all my belongings smelled badly as a result. Shower water pressure nil and the drain was clogged so got to stand in my own dirty water. TV didn't work. Pool closed for maintenance. Breakfast options were limited and supplies were low or already out of some things at 9am. No hair dryer in the room. There were some interesting characters lingering about outside the hotel; had a nice audience every time I went to my car to get something. In short: steer clear, friends

If you are looking for a nice pool and hot tub this is not it. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay you can tell they have been updating. The continental breakfast was basic- biscuits & gravy, waffles cereal and yogurt were pretty much it. The room was fine, had to have them help us with the TV but that was no biggie. I would stay again if I didnt have the kids, the pool is small and cold and the hot tub is pretty small also.
