The Courtyard Boulder Broomfield appears to be a mixed experience, with some guests praising its location and staff, while others report significant issues ranging from uncomfortable rooms and poor communication to financial discrepancies and a lack of amenities. Recent reviews highlight consistent concerns about management responsiveness and operational problems.
The location was very convenient, but I was disappointed in the rooms. They are oddly laid out, and this is by far the most uncomfortable bed that I've had in a Marriott in a long time. The service at the front desk was fantastic however, and the lobby was nice, though I didn't use any of the amenities down there on this trip. There were several very worn and broken parts of the hotel, such as the elevator panel downstairs that appeared to be ready to fall out of the wall.
The location was superb as well as being easily accessible. The staff helped with our stay as we ended up in a blizzard on our way home. The rooms are cozy though the walls were somewhat thin. Overall it was a great stay and we’ll definitely be staying here when we come back to town!
Our hockey team stayed here for a tournament. Probably has the best overall layout with the lobby having little nook TV areas where the kids could hang out as teams without overwhelming the entire lobby. And free nachos when you walk in the door..... money!!!
I had a deeply disappointing experience with this hotel. I made a reservation, but the night before my arrival I had an unexpected family emergency. Because of that, I wasn’t able to provide the required 24-hour cancellation notice. I was even happy to reschedule my reservation, but they said no. While I fully understand that policies exist for a reason, I was hoping for at least a bit of understanding and compassion given the circumstances. Emergencies aren’t planned, and it would have meant a lot (and provided them with a repeat customer) if the staff had shown some flexibility or basic empathy. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I HIGHLY suggest not booking here, the staff are robots and have no compassion for its customers.
DO NOT BOOK HERE. OPERATED BY COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE FROM MANAGEMENT DOWN. I reserved a room for a client and the representative assured me the reservation was secured. No confirmation email or code was ever provided. My client, exhausted and caring for her children, arrived at 3:45 AM only to be marked as a no-show--despite arriving before the supposed 4:00 AM system turnover. She was turned away multiple times, falsely told no rooms were available, and received no apology or assistance. The lack of communication and compassion was appalling. When I spoke with the manager, Brianna, she was dismissive and accusatory, insinuating that I was lying on my part and falsely claiming my client arrived after 4:00 AM. She should be ashamed of how she handled this situation and should not be removed from her management position. Not to mention the front desk staff gentleman appeared to be high on some sort of drug and couldn't communicate effectively to my client at all about the reservation. Marriott compounded the issue by mishandling my complaint, sending it to the wrong management team and failing to direct it back to the correct hotel. This experience reflects systemic INCOMPETENCE and a complete failure of basic hospitality.
This hotel was a pleasant upgrade to another hotel I was staying in Louisville. The rooms were especially comfortable, and made for a very special time visiting my old "neighborhood". I liked the close proximity to restaurants and shopping, plus easy access to hywy 36 and Denver International Airport.
Ended up driving 13 hours straight through instead of stopping so we got there at 2am but check in wasn't until 4pm. So rightfully I needed to pay for the prior night to get our room.thecnormal nightly rate was 113 but they charged me 144. On top of a 40 incident upfront whether you left room great or not. 3 nights was 540. No hot tub, no small breakfast, no housekeeping the entire stay. Plenty of other hotels to stay at. Not to mention they hassled me for trying to switch from a long bed to 2 queen because I booked through a third party. They said I couldn't it was non refundable and no cancellation. But I didn't want either. I wanted a different style and pay the difference. On the phone for an hour and had to ask for manager. Finally after all was said, they changed my room. Update. Looked at checking account and was charged 161 instead of 144. Called and he said that was the deposit. I said no, there is a 40.00 deposit charge separate which because they considered it two separate stays instead of early checkin, I had to pay deposit twice. Was told to dispute it. Lol
There are several hotels in this spot and honestly fir the price, this one has no hot tub, no continental breakfast and there is nothing special about it. Pulled in at 2am so of course I had to pay for another night but it was more expensive than any other night. I booked what was supposed to be 120 a night for 2 nights and that turned into 350 then I had to pay 144 for extra night plus 40. So for 530 I got 3 nights. Laquinta has more to offer next door and our friends got 5 nights for 500.
This Marriott property is extremely poorly managed by GM Elke Silvey and the issues are multiple: room had a small flood in it because of what Carlos told me was an "overflowing toilet" from above and bc I had an early morning appointment and had to leave, no one contacted me to let me know the outcome. My items had to be thrown away, and the room smelled of mold and mildew afterward. No one confirmed WHO was in my room (of course I approved maintenance staff to enter, but wanted a full report afterward) and had the "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging on the door. When I returned to my room that night, I saw that some of my property had been removed from the room. I reported this immediately to the front desk and specifically to Elke Silvey who lied to me and to date, has not provided me with a loss report. There were other issues, but each one of them was mishandled by Elke and she was extremely rude to me. I filed a formal complaint with Marriott Bonvoy as well as a police report. The rooms were nothing special--oh, and the TVs are not "smart," and the "business center" doesn't even have Chrome or Safari...nor a functioning toner...I asked Elke multiple times to change the toner in the printer and she ignored me. Horrible experience.
