The Comfort Suites Longmont receives mixed reviews, with recent guests praising the friendly staff and clean rooms, but also citing significant issues with inconsistent customer service, reservation errors, and potentially discriminatory practices. Several guests experienced issues with deposits, room availability, and aggressive behavior from hotel staff, leading to considerable frustration and even corporate booking changes. While some consistently highlight positive aspects like the pool and breakfast, a substantial portion of feedback indicates serious concerns about the hotel’s operational standards.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels in this area, and this one was my favorite. Great rooms for the price. Zero complaints.

Nice place. Nice pool. Nice gym. Free breakfast but the bread was stale and the orange juice machine needs to be fixed. The only problem I had the uneccessary $100 deposit that was held from my card was not released yet 3 days later.

I am writing this review after a brief but incredibly unprofessional interaction that caused my company to take a significant corporate booking elsewhere. I called on November 6, 2025, at 3:40 p.m., to request a standard Credit Card Authorization form, which is necessary to allow my employees to check into their pre-booked rooms while charging the stay to our corporate card. The front desk employee not only refused to process the request (stating they "couldn't do that"), but then abruptly terminated the call by hanging up without a single word of closing or apology. The rudeness and complete lack of professional courtesy were shocking. We were in the final stages of booking 15 rooms for 12 nights—a substantial piece of business. Because this single interaction immediately confirmed the customer service standards were unacceptable for a large corporate stay, we have moved our entire reservation to IHG Hotels instead.

After calling and getting confirmation that checkin age was 18, 3 weeks in advance! My son son made his reservation and paid up front for everything, upon arrival was told he can't check in because he was 18. Was told there was nothing they could do but they said they cancelled his reservation. 3 days later still no refund! Left him stranded after being on planes all day. Just horrible.

We stayed for four nights and were disappointed with our experience. The rooms were outdated and lacked comfort, breakfast was plain, and the staff didn’t seem very attentive. The pool was dirty, and the overall space felt neglected. Since the stay was non-refundable, we had to deal with it, but I would have much rather stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites next door. This was not the best Comfort Suites by far, and I won’t be returning.

Rented their best room online while in boulder. Brought my 2 year old son, and his service dog. Arrived on my motorcycle in advance of my wife, son, and his companion. Payment was already deducted from Wells Fargo checking account. Was told no reservation exists. After the desk guy took my phone and proceeded to scroll thru it, I finally asked if there was something specific he needed. He promptly handed me my phone back. I waited for another 10 minutes until my wife arrived. We then had to contact Priceline to explain the error. Mind you, we traveled from Denver to Firestone specifically for this room as we had stayed the prior evening at the Best Western Denver Premier East, and the 2 prior nights at the Delta Hotel in Thornton. We finally simply cancelled our reservation with Priceline and were just going to book with the hotel themselves as the room requested was still available. Now over 30 minutes into the entire ordeal, the guy at the desk proceeds to inform us that our son’s service animal is not allowed in said room. I have recording of him specifically stating that the dog could be in any other room in their building, but due to sanitary and safety reasons, he couldn’t be allowed in the jacuzzi suite. Nowhere did anything online mention any of this. Not on Priceline nor their website. How ironic, so I could’ve stayed here with my child and his service dog in any other room except the one we booked? We happily walked next door and booked a very similar room at the Holiday Inn for less money and far less issue. The front desk had the audacity (while on live recording) to say I was yelling at him when I never even raised my voice. Absolutely disgusting display of customer service, useless desk attendant, and ironically discriminatory practices per ADA standards. We will absolutely be filing a formal complaint as we have documented this entirely. Save yourself the headache and hassle after a long day. Choose the holiday inn next door instead, you’ll thank me later.

Awful experience. The manager authorized $500 in fees without even speaking to me. I really wish we caught his name. My dog is a service animal. My wife and I like to smoke weed. We dont smoke inside the room. We smoke outside. Cannabis is legal and it does have a distinct aroma. The manager harrassed my wife multiple times by coming to the room and knocking. He told her he was going to open it up, even tho she kindly said "no thank you I dont want service". He threatened to bust in with his master key if she refused to open up. She opened the door to the rudest individual she has ever met. This man accused her of smoking because he claims he smelled somthing in the hall. How many people are in this hotel? We are in Colorado. Weed is legal. I have walked down hallways in colorado hotels many times and caught a wiff of it. Every single day I caught a wiff of it in every hallway of this hotel not just the second floor where we were staying. In this state that is normal. It does not need to be smoked to be smelled. You cannot pin the smell of weed in your hallway on a single person either. Especially in this state. We never once triggered an alarm. We never once smoked in the room. That stuff stinks even if its double bagged and put away in a drawer. My wife has extreme social anxiety. It is documented by her physician. Anxiety attacks come quickly and easily to her especially when she is dealing with a person like this manager. It is very detrimental to her mental health. The manager harrassed her, lied to her, and charged me $500 upon check out without saying a word to me. My wife told me she kindly asked him to leave and that there were no issues and he continued to press her and actually threatened to call the police. I wish she had better social skills and told this mystery man to go ahead and call them. She did NOTHING wrong. She is very delicate and I cannot believe this is the way customers are treated while staying at this establishment. This man put her in a state of panic and she wanted nothing more than for him to just get out of her face. I work long days in construction. My wife told me this when I got back to the room and I called her worried asking where she was. She was having a very hard time explaining the situation to me because she was so distraught. I am absolutely furious with this man. She left the hotel and sat at the park in the heat all day after this happened. She was having an anxiety attack. The hotel has my phone number on file and I never once recieved a phone call or a message. Whoever this manager is. He is a terrible human being. There was one very kind young man that works the desk at nights but other than him the entire staff is rude. Beware of the housekeepers they start knocking as early as 8am. They tell you they only clean every 3rd day but its a lie. Don't leave any cash laying around or you'll realize it's gone once you get back to your cleaned room. Also the breakfast attendant triggered the fire alarm at 6am one morning because he burnt somthing in the kitchen on the 1st floor. Every alarm in every room of the building blaired for 35 minutes until the fire department arrived. When I asked the desk attendant if there would be any compensation for customers in the hotel for being scared out of bed at 6am and kept from re entering their rooms because of the extremely loud alarms he rolled his eyes and told me to have a nice day. Men, Women and Children were literally standing in the lobby at 6am in their undies begging for the noise to stop. This hotel is managed as poorly as one could be. Mystery manager that pulled this stunt on my wife... call me. I have words for you.

Lisa at the front desk made me feel welcome in a way few hotels manage to do. I'm sure it can be exhausting to be so welcoming and kind at all hours, but she does it to a remarkable level. Very pleased with the all around experience here. Staff was pleasant and hospitable to a fault. Thanks for the nice stay! Great view of Longs Peak and the front range from the west side of the 3rd floor.
