City Inn receives mixed reviews with notable concerns regarding cleanliness and customer service. Recent positive feedback highlights the helpfulness of the staff and the affordability of the rooms, particularly in a convenient location. However, numerous negative reviews detail issues like unsanitary conditions, unresponsive management, and uncomfortable accommodations.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and a great value for the price. For a smaller, independently run hotel, they do an excellent job of making guests feel welcome and taken care of. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone works hard to keep the property well-maintained and ensure guests have a positive experience. A special shoutout to Christine, who manages the hotel. She is the main reason I'm leaving a 5-star review. Christine strikes the perfect balance between being hardworking, professional, and genuinely kind and helpful. Her customer service is outstanding, and she goes above and beyond to make guests feel valued. The location is another big plus. It's centrally located, making it easy to visit Boulder, Golden, Denver, or stay close to the airport, depending on your plans. Overall, I had a great experience and would absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in the area. Highly recommended!
I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. After checking out, I tried calling multiple times regarding my $120 security deposit and additional fees that were charged. When I finally spoke with someone, they attempted to blame me for having a dog, even though I specifically booked and paid for a pet-friendly room. I was then told that my deposit needed to be held for cleaning purposes. However, I left the room in the same condition I received it, aside from removing the bedsheets, which already had stains on them before my stay. The room was not particularly clean when I arrived, making the explanation even more frustrating. Overall, the customer service was poor, communication was unhelpful, and I felt unfairly blamed and charged. I would not recommend staying here based on my experience.
Staff was very chill . My room was clean & very comfortable. For the price & location I was very pleased with my stay . I’ll definitely be back or recommend this place . Lots of food & store options. Thank you Chris & Christina .!!! & Chris really be moving !!! He always doing something outside productive & still making reservations .!!! Great staff
I stayed here to see my friend that lives in town that had a baby. First off when you get there, the office is locked and you have to call them to check in. It’s not in a very good location in the street is super loud and busy, I wish that was only thing that was wrong with this place. Once I finally got to check in.. I asked the front desk guy if there was bedbugs, He says he’s only had one incident with bedbugs(That was my first concern already, I should’ve just left). After getting in the room, I inspected the bed, At first glance, I didn’t see anything. But I was still worried. I went to Walmart and picked up some sheets, just in case… Because the sheets on the bed in the hotel had hair all over them. When I got back to change the sheets, picking up the mattress a little bit, Noticed there was a porno magazine underneath it. I sure wasn’t touching that thing. The bed was so hard I couldn’t even barely move in the morning, I had to buy a foam mattress thing to put underneath me. I didn’t get any sleep at all and left all the lights on all night long.. Someone was wiggling my door handle all night and walking up and down the hallway. I was about ready to sleep in my car. I definitely don’t recommend this place. It’s not very clean., And they’ve clearly not changed the sheets because it’s just by me, barely moving the sheets. I saw those magazine.. When I went to check out the next morning, I had to wait for the person to come there, Because they had to walk their dog. I sat on the front Bench out front, It ripped my pants and cut my hand because it has nails all over it. I’m pretty sure this place has fleas too because I have flea bites all over my ankles.. I told the front desk guy and I showed him the picture of the porn. He didn’t seem very shocked at all. It’s worth it to pay a little bit more to go somewhere else..
The staff were very kind properly is very clean and quiet. I have stayed there a few times in this past year and never had a problem. The price is great. I truly recommend this location for short term are long term. Thank you to all the staff at City Inn
Booked for 2 nights, only stayed a few hours. Room was dirty, smelled foul (the bedding especially), and don’t want to know what was on the chairs and what the white substance under the bed was. Door only had 1 simple lock which was on the handle, no secondary lock/deadbolt/chain, and could be unlocked by anyone who has a master key. Advertised as non smoking, our room was very smoky and the bathroom window was left open seemingly to air it out. Woke up with swelling and breathing difficulty due to an allergic reaction to the cigarette smoke which was disregarded entirely. Spoke with front desk employees over the phone and someone over text several times, asked to speak with manager time and time again and was refused, ghosted over text, and was refused a refund. Do not recommend.
I get a room through Priceline every so often ,usually I go to the America's Best value inn out of Peoria way. Will this room came up and it was about the same price so I went and got a room. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. And then when I went to the room I couldn't believe it. This room was clean and modern. I mean this was a really great room for the price. I'm telling you if you're on a budget, or you don't want to spend a lot of money. Please consider staying here. I'm telling you the rooms are very nice.
The front desk lady was very kind, but the room was very unsettling. When we first walked in, there was unflushed pee in the toilet. That I could have let go, but maybe an hour later my husband found redish brown stains on our pillows. At first we thought that it was maybe just stained but it had been washed. The next morning we found the same reddish brown stains on the window curtains, shower curtains, and carpet. That makes me think 1. If what was on the pillow was the same thing that was around the whole room, then the pillow cases were not washed, nor changed. But purposefully set so we wouldnt see it. And 2. I genuinely think it was blood. Hopefully from a nosebleed and not something serious, but still very unsanitary.
Had a complication in my living situation so had to resort to staying at local hotels/motels and I absolutely had to give kudos to City Inn during a particularly difficult time of my life. I think a lot of the negative reviews posted are from cheapskate patrons expecting something unrealistic for what they’re actually paying for. It’s the most affordable stay I’ve been able to find on any given day of the week and satisfies all the basic requirements I needed. Stayed in a few rooms here and each one was clean, comfortable, and had the basic amenities expected from any hotel/motel (heater/ac, WiFi, mini-fridge, microwave, working shower & toilet, soap/shampoo/conditioner). It’s in a great location, close by to major highways, and all the staff are always friendly. Special appreciation to both Anu and Christina who remember me from previous visits and take the time to make my stays more enjoyable, whether it be doing their best to provide a room away from the noisy street or just reprogramming my Directv.
You can’t beat the location. The front desk staff were very polite and professional. The cleaning staff did not speak English. The rooms were clean when we arrived and we cleaned them ourselves. The views were pretty spectacular for a little kick chick from Wisconsin. We stayed 3 weeks. I worked from there, and the WiFi is not good for working. But a portable WiFi box solved that issue. On the morning of check out, my daughter woke up with 6 little bumps on her shoulder. Had it happened the first night, I would have been certain it was bed bugs. But the last night of 21 days, and only one incident between 2 rooms and 5 people leaves room for doubt. But just in case, 4 out of 5, for leisure, not work. I would go back. And I would recommend with caution.
