This Holiday Inn Express & Suites offers a generally positive experience, highlighted by friendly staff and a well-maintained property. However, recent reviews indicate recurring issues with the HVAC system and a malfunctioning dryer that haven’t been addressed, impacting guest comfort. Despite these concerns, the location and amenities, particularly the pool, are frequently praised.
1 star. I would give 0 stars if that were an option. I stayed here on [date]. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and conveniently located. Unfortunately, the problems I experienced were significant enough that I would not stay here again or recommend it to others. At approximately 4:00 a.m., I woke up unable to breathe because my CPAP machine had stopped working. I discovered that there was no power to the lights or electrical outlets in our room. I immediately called the front desk. The employee who answered the phone knew exactly what the problem was and reset the circuit breaker from outside our room, restoring power within a few moments. Because he immediately recognized the issue and knew exactly how to resolve it, it gave the impression that this may be a recurring problem. If that is the case, it should be permanently addressed rather than allowing guests to experience power outages in the middle of the night. Another issue was the HVAC system. The room uses an occupancy sensor that overrides the thermostat settings. During the night, the air conditioning repeatedly stopped running, causing the room to become much warmer than the temperature I had selected. I woke up sweating several times before realizing I had to wave my hands in front of the thermostat to trigger the system and get the air conditioning running again. While the hotel itself is clean and in a good location, reliable electrical service and a room that maintains the temperature guests select are basic expectations. Unfortunately, the issues I experienced were serious enough that I cannot recommend staying here.
The quick review. Stellar customer service, quiet location within walking distance of a movie theater, dining, and shopping. It was meant to help reduce stress, success. The long review that matters: I booked the room, grabbed some herbs that elevate the spirit and departed for my Halle-day. I checked in, and decided to elevate before heading to the room. I live as a home free individual, who has had multiple traumatic events in my lifetime. I have come far in the last 18 months and needed to show the new love in my life just how much I appreciate them. Well along the way in a hurry I hid the herbs away, and when I was in a rush to find them and forgot where I hid them the resistance spiked, cortisol dumped, and I roared so loud that they were faced with a decision on rather allowing such an intense energy to remain in the hotel. I wasn’t very happy with my display, and had I been asked to vacate my Halle-day I think I might have melted down in an atomic fashion. I had regained composure to defend my poor behavior, and the woman who was manning the desk must have had some empathy for my situation. I told her that her choice was a reflection of her character and that God had been working through her. Thanks for the second chance, and the relaxation. Halle ?
Spent a night only but it was comfortable. Reception was very welcoming and got my preferences right though on the second try(was apologetic and quickly rectified the issue), the room was clean and warm and quiet. Breakfast was as usual (I don’t think IHG is ever changing their standard menu anytime soon). In short, it was an enjoyable and restful night stay and I’m sure it’ll be a fun place to stay in summer with kids cos they’ve got an awesome pool the kids would love.
I am really tough to please when it comes to hotels. But this experience, the helpful staff, and especially Matt! This hotel was fantastic, we loved our trip, we loved our stay here. From the moment we stepped on the property, Matt greeted us, and offered to help. Throughout our entire say, if we needed something, Matt was right there to help. All the other staff were equally as friendly as well, but Matt just happened to be there when I needed help. My room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was great. They have dove soaps, shampoos, and conditioners. The pool is warm, the hot tub was hot, and they had a really great waterslide! My two kids had a blast. They had a really family kiddie pool as well. Breakfast in the mornings was awesome! Everything was fresh, clean, very appetizing. The staff had great recommendations of where to go what to see, and the hotel is located really conveniently near great places to eat as well! Because of this hotel, specifically, we are huge fans of Holiday Inn express! We saw one late in the evening on our drive back, and decided to stay the night there instead of continuing to drive home. It was equally as great, earning our loyalty. Honestly, this place was awesome, and I’m hard to please when it comes to hotels. I nit-pick everything. Solid 5-stars! Feedback - we kept getting three towels in our room After cleaning/refresh. We had four people staying in this room, I needed four towels. Matt was happy to Bring us extras, though!
I had the good luck of selecting this hotel for my state in Longmont arriving late the day of my reservation, the front desk manager, Matt, was unbelievably accommodating and eagerly answered all my questions. I go a room on the first floor at the end of the hallway and I was informed of the amenities at the hotel, things like breakfast hours, pool and gym areas. The room was spotless and well supplied with toiletries, shampoo. Etc. The pool was very nice and so was the Jacuzzi. Front desk Matt, having noticed me going to the pool, came to review the availability of fresh towels, there were none, having noticed this Matt brought a batch of fresh towels. Breakfast the next morning was very good and included a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Food was of good quality and the area was super clean. I would recommend this hotel for it's cleaniness, the amenities such as pool and a nice gym. But principaly for it's customer care. And yes the price was very economical.
Everything has been great here the staff are perfect the rooms are really clean and housekeeping is always on top of it! But as i sit here reading the reviews i seen over 2 months wgo the owner said they would replace the dryer immediately. And im pretty sure its the same dryer someone else left a review on because i personally have spent $14.00 to try and dry my clothes and they were still wet. It just makes me think the owner isn't replacing the dryer because its a money pot for him and he doesn't care about the customers here at his hotel. So it would be nice to see the owner keep his word and replace the dryer this time. But other then that if the dryer gets replaced this hotel would be perfect. All the staff have been very helpful and amazing! So props to them! They all deserve some extra credit!
We came specifically for the pool to celebrate my son’s 4th birthday. He absolutely loved it!! He must have went down the big slide at least 50 times. The big slide was definitely our families favorite! The jets in the hot tub were strong and I liked that they were on constantly and you didn’t have to get out to keep restarting them like most hotels. Our 2 king suite was wonderful for our large family & 2 dogs. I liked how the rooms were separate with doors and then we had a kitchen area where the kids could play. I also liked how the coffee/hot water machines are available 24/7 so you can make a fresh cup whenever you liked. Breakfast was good & the pancake maker was a hit with our toddlers. Service was also wonderful. They brought goggles someone had left behind for our kids to enjoy in the pool. They were helpful is trying to locate a lost pair of keys (that we found in a bag when we made it home ?). They also allowed my mom into the room a little early so she could decorate it for my son’s birthday before we arrived. Overall, we loved it & will definitely be back!
Pros: Rooms are clean and spacious. Fridge, microwave, ac/heating unit. Beds are super SUPER soft. Not so great if you prefer sleeping on a rock instead of a cloud. Breakfast is decent as far as budget friendly hotel food goes. Water slide is awesome! Cons: checkout is 11. Members can request late checkout til 12. 40$ an hour after that. Not much of a contender with Marriott where checkout is noon and members can request late checkout up to 4 pm at no cost depending on their member level. Housekeeping comes banging on doors around 9 am regardless of DND hanger on, waking up napping babies, sleeper inners, etc. Blackout "curtain" is basically a projector screen which is cool if u have a projector. Also would work well if there were actual curtains to pull in front of it. But as it is there are big gaps on the edges allowing a lot of light in, defeating their purpose entirely. Staff is kinda rude.
We had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Express! It was the perfect spot for our family. My kiddo had an absolute blast on the water slide and can't stop talking about it. Our room was spotless, modern, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Most importantly, the staff was amazing—so friendly, welcoming, and helpful with any questions we had. We felt right at home and will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend for families!
