Overall, the Residence Inn by Marriott Boulder Canyon Boulevard is a very good hotel. The room itself was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was solid, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The property is modern and generally well-maintained, and in most respects it’s exactly what you’d expect from a Residence Inn. However, there were two significant problems during our stay. First, there is effectively no real control over the room temperature. We set the thermostat as low as possible and the room still stayed uncomfortably warm. Other guests mentioned having the same experience, so it didn’t seem to be limited to our room. Second, the key card system is unreliable. You need a key card for almost everything (exterior doors, elevators, gym access, etc.) but the cards were inconsistent. Some cards worked for the room but not the elevator, others had the opposite issue. The digital key in the app would sometimes open the room but was hit-or-miss with exterior doors and didn’t work at all for the elevator. On top of that, the plastic cover over the door sensor kept falling off, which made the system feel a bit janky. Several other guests mentioned similar key card issues, so again it didn’t seem isolated. If the hotel could fix the temperature control and key access problems, this would easily be a great stay. As it stands, everything else about the property was good. The rooms, breakfast, and service were all exactly what you’d hope for.

Honestly best breakfast I’ve had in a hotel. They even had cold brew coffee. The staff seemed nice. The rooms were spacious and clean. The laundry washer/dryer a little on the costly side, $4 per machine. You do have to pay for parking, which I guess is expected in the area, they have an underground garage and some lot parking spots too. I like the location —near restaurants and stores. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Residence inn Boulder, CO First I want to say that I am a long time resident of Boulder and knew that this location would be best for us as we had to move out of our home for renovations. We stayed here for 2+ weeks. Here is my opinion of this hotel. First off, ALL of the staff are great! The front desk staff is extremely accommodation and never say NO. This attribute is hard to find in hotels these days as everyone wants to say “NO” for everything. We stay at luxury hotels often, they never used to say no, now it seems to be a normal practice. Here is an example of the no no’s: I wanted to use the grill and the person on duty (Maya) said, “I was not trained on how to do this but, let’s give it a go”. The bar tender, Tess, came right over to help Maya and together they got it done, spider webs etc were no problem with them both. The pool areas were always clean and dry and always stocked with towels that were laid out on the chairs like a resort would do. The laundry rooms and gym were also very clean. Our room had a full size refrigerator, a two burner cook top, dishwasher, fully stocked plated, flat wear, paper towels, and cleaning supplies. The location can’t be beat. There are many good restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping (29th street mall and the iconic McGuckin’s hardware store) within walking distance. The University of Colorado (15 min walk) and The Pearl street mall (30 minute walk) are all close. Shout out to Logan, Crystal, Maya, Tess, Calynn, the overnight guy, and all the breakfast staff and housekeepers. You are all doing a great job!!

The location of this hotel is perfect. It’s smack in the middle of everything so you can walk just about everywhere. The rooms were big and ours had a kitchenette stocked with cutlery and dishes, which was nice. Everything was pretty clean except for one bed that had what looked like an old blood stain on it. We were able to get it traded out pretty quickly though. The staff was very friendly with everyone with encountered. The breakfast had a variety of items to choose from and the gym was better than expected. Overall, this was a good spot and we’d probably stay here again.

I’ve stayed here multiple times now during work travels. Great amenities. Close to shops, restaurants and hiking trails. Great bar and decent breakfast. Love the indoor pool and hot tub. Gym has everything you need and plenty of self service laundry machines

Rooms were nice and clean. Regular rooms you would expect. Gym, pool and breakfast were also nice. What really set this hotel apart compared to most hotels is how great the staff treated me. I had interactions with 4 staff members and all were way above regular. They were extremely pleasant, and proactively asked me if there was anyway they could help me. I wish I knew these 4 peoples names so I could mention them personally. The training here must be superb, or they just hire people with great attitudes.

My wife and I stayed here for Boulderthon and it was a nice stay. The hotel is located close to Pearl Street so we were able to walk to and from the race. The guy working the front desk was super nice and helpful. Hot tub is huge and the pool was not too cold. Rooms are spacious and clean. Water pressure is nice. Breakfast was on time and had plenty of options. We were also able to see the flatirons from our room window which was cool. Parking is close and despite the hotel being sold out we found a spot easily.

Tess was an excellent bartender during my visit. She was both friendly and polite, making me feel welcome right away. Her attentive service and positive attitude created a comfortable atmosphere, and she made sure everything I needed was taken care of promptly. I really appreciated her professionalism and warmth—she made the experience much more enjoyable. Highly recommend Tess!

My girlfriend and I recently visited Boulder and stayed at the Residence Inn Boulder Canyon. The location is excellent, just about a mile from Pearl Street Mall. We walked there easily and also took Lime scooters to get around. The hotel itself is very nice, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. We booked a suite, which was well laid out with a comfortable living room area and a fully equipped kitchen. We also found the underground parking garage convenient and felt the $25 fee was worthwhile for the added security. The garage is small, but the direct elevator access to the floors made it very easy to use. Our only disappointment was paying extra for a “mountain view” that was really just the parking lot, but Jonathan at the front desk had a laugh with me about it and quickly moved us to a much better room, which we appreciated! Overall, it was a great experience, and I plan to stay here again the next time I’m in Boulder.

My husband and I have stayed here a few times now and it’s our go-to hotel in Boulder. The property and rooms are always super clean. The staff is always super gracious and accommodating. I’ve worked for Marriott for 10 years now so I always use my employee discount and normally I feel like you aren’t always treated the best when staying with employee rate at many properties but I always feel like royalty at this hotel. This location is perfect for exploring Boulder and a nice place to rest after a day of hiking the many natural wonders close to here. You won’t be disappointed!
