The Hyatt Place Boulder/Pearl Street offers a generally pleasant stay with clean rooms, a convenient location near downtown Boulder, and a decent breakfast. However, recent reviews highlight concerns regarding inconsistent customer service and issues with cleanliness and parking fees. Despite positive comments on the hotel’s design and some staff members, significant problems have been noted, particularly regarding guest experiences with billing and security.

My daughters and I had a great stay. Rooms and hotel super clean. Great location to walk trails and several great restaurants within walking distance. Bike shop and rentals just 1 block away. Downtown historic boulder and other must see sites just an easy 5-10min drive away. Staff was super friendly and helpful during our stay.

I stayed here during the local fire prevention power outage. I was displaced for five nights. I booked my stay here through Bookings, and chose the option to pay online, not once I got there. When I checked in at the front desk, the employee told me I needed to pay still. I explained I already paid online. He insisted. I had been offered to stay at a friends after I booked, so I asked him if I wanted charged yet, if I could cancel. He said yes, I wouldn’t get charged and I would be able to cancel. I still got charged for my stay through Bookings, so I would have been double charged if I had stayed. I have contacted Bookings about this situation, and Hyatt denied my refund. I have emailed a few times Hyatt at this location and have not heard back. A few days after staying at my friends, I ended up staying here. I was told I wouldn’t have to pay for parking in the garage, and I have now received a bill in the mail for parking. I have emailed Hyatt and they said they would void it, but weeks later I have received another parking notice, so it was not taken care of. To top it off, there are countless homeless people around the hotel. There was a man sleeping on the ground in a parking spot in the parking garage, and many roaming around at night which felt unsafe.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE The hotel itself is very nice and the breakfast was excellent. A heads-up for others: parking is self-paid and can be a bit of a walk from the entrance. Our stay started on a high note—the guy at check-in was AWESOME and provided exactly the kind of service you expect from Hyatt's lofty standards. Unfortunately, the experience was completely soured during checkout at 6:45 AM on Monday morning. While we were in a rush to grab breakfast and head to the Denver airport, the front desk agent was surprisingly confrontational. When I tried to hand over the keys, he was mildly annoyed that I hadn't proactively given the room number. When I double-checked that we were all set, he claimed my card was "declined." I explained that the stay was already paid for via SkyMiles, but instead of trying to help, he tried to LECTURE me. He actually started Googling Hyatt policies to "prove" they don't take miles, rather than just handling the reservation in front of him. I told him I didn’t care what he found on his computer—I had a confirmed booking. When I asked for a manager, he told me to "come back at 10:00 AM," which is a ridiculous response to a guest who is clearly checking out and leaving for the airport. There is a reason we choose Hyatt, but this agent's need to "educate" a guest in a rush instead of de-escalating the situation was a massive letdown. Great building and great check-in team, but the Monday morning staff needs serious training on how to talk to customers.

LOVE this place. I've stayed here twice, always a pleasant stay. Cool, quiet, safe little neighborhood, very walkable! Plenty of restaurants and stores around. Parking garage avail on site. Friendly staff, very nice rooms, will always stay here when I visit Boulder :)

Comfortable and welcoming stay. I appreciated the check-in personnel advising me on street parking options. Great location - feels safe, and short walking distance to nice coffee shops. Convenient free breakfast. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

We booked a room here and couldn’t even make it through the night because the beds were so hard. I was shocked due to it being the Hyatt. You’d think the beds would be decent quality. We then walked through the lobby on our way out and it smelled of marijuana and the person at the front desk was noticeably high while working. I understand marijuana is legal in Colorado, but never thought it would smell like it and an employee would be high while staying at a nicer hotel like the Hyatt.

I wanted to share that we had the most delightful experience staying at the Hyatt here in Boulder. Matt was an absolute super star. So wonderful, accommodating, professional and over all a pure joy to talk to. Jesse as well was so sweet and helpful. The dynamic duo! Our room was perfection and the temperature was perfect. The atmosphere is lovely . 5 star experience thanks to Matt and Jesse. Thanks for the great stay!

Hyatt Place Boulder is a fantastic place to stay, with clean and comfortable rooms, excellent amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are well-maintained, and the event spaces are perfect for conferences, meetings, or special gatherings. We had the pleasure of working with Yvonne Rodriguez over several months to coordinate four full days of meetings and events, and she was exceptional. From start to finish, she was organized, responsive, and proactive—handling every detail flawlessly, anticipating needs, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. The rest of the hotel staff were also wonderful—professional, attentive, and always ready to assist—which made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Thanks to Yvonne and the team, our events were a complete success. Highly recommend!

Nice, standard hotel with friendly staff. I really liked the layout of the room! Super cool floorplan that had everything from separate sleeping area, living room area and desk area. It even had a separate shower and vanity area. Greatly designed in a compact space. Oh and chocolate chip cookies in the lobby!
