The Boulder Twin Lakes Inn offers a generally positive experience, praised for its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, recent reviews highlight ongoing maintenance issues and potential limitations with booking flexibility. The property’s owners are dedicated to renovations, contributing to a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
The room was cute, but only if you need just two outlets, the rest are broken or taken by the appliances you also pay to be able to use. TV was down. Bathroom ceiling was leaking, when they came in to fix it at 8am they had to pull chunks of drywall out of the ceiling panel. Door wouldn't shut unless slammed. $3 for a can of soda in the vending machine. When I called them to complain about the issues I experienced I was told there was nothing they could to do to remedy the issue. No discount offered, no room change. Nothing. Except a promise of tv after I left, and a disruption making sure I had to wake up early. Definitely a safe, mostly quiet place if you don't care about the maintenance issues mentioned above, however.
It was a very good place to stay. Until a snowstorm changed my travel plans. They use ReservationDesk.com. I wanted to see if I could push my stay back 1 week. However, that was not possible according to ReservationDesk.com. My only option was to cancel. The cancellation was non-refundable. I've switched back to a hotel that would be able to change a reservation without loosing money.
I enjoyed my stay at Twin Lakes Inn in Boulder. Check-in was easy, the staff were welcoming, and the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. It was quiet at night, which made it easy to rest. Overall, great value and I would happily stay here again.
The room was very spacious which gave us a place to store our bikes while we were out and about. The staff was very friendly and suggested an app for us to use to see the different bike trails in the area. Both the common areas and room were clean and well maintained. It’s set back in a quiet neighborhood right a long a nice walking path. We would definitely stay there again if we find ourselves in Boulder again.
Very friendly staff, love the bike borrow option but would suggest checking the tires. Most were flat and wouldn’t inflate with the pump available which limited choosing one to fit the rider. Room was clean and comfortable and walking paths were awesome! Thanks for a good experience.
I’m giving this location 3 stars because the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. However, the room we stayed in felt a bit unpleasant due to its condition. I’m not sure if I got a room that had already been renovated or one still waiting for an upgrade. The ceilings had water stains and probably mold, and it seemed like the renovations were just painting over the issues rather than addressing them. I also requested extra pillows, but they told me they didn’t have any available—I've never experienced that at any motel or hotel before. We had a rough couple of nights sleeping before we finally got some extras. I’m happy to see they’re working on improvements, and I’m sure it’ll be a great place once the renovations are complete. Overall, I feel like the price didn’t quite match the quality of the stay.
The young couple that owns this hotel are some of the best people on the planet! They’ve put so much heart into renovating the place and it really shows. The hotel is tucked into a cute neighborhood with a playground, access to walking paths and open spaces, and Avery Brewing just around the corner. It’s super safe and peaceful. The rooms themselves are nice and spotless. I highly recommend staying here!
It was very comfortable. Super clean. Friendly atmosphere. They seem to have every need thought out. We had a great nights sleep. It is in a neighborhood and super quiet. The rooms are big. Had complimentary breakfast. They said they are redoing the rooms. They were also good the way they were. Would stay again!
The Inn is situated in a quiet neighborhood allowing nice evening walks around the Twin Lakes and possibly leading you to the nearby Avery Brewery. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They take pride in the establishment and have a strong tie to the history of the building. Our room was comfortable and clean with nice beds, a small fridge, a microwave and coffee maker. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it to others who visit beautiful Boulder.
Really glad I looked around and found this place. Affordable and safe. My family and I stayed for a couple days and had zero issues. Rooms were clean, room service made the beds and gave us fresh towels every day.Truly a hidden gem in my book. If you're looking for a modest quiet place to stay, look no further. If you're arriving after 5pm call ahead!
