The Boulder Twin Lakes Inn offers a generally comfortable and convenient stay in a quiet neighborhood near Boulder, with positive feedback on cleanliness, location, and value. However, recent reviews indicate ongoing maintenance issues, particularly with room repairs and Wi-Fi connectivity, and limited availability of requested amenities.
I spent the night for my daughter's orientation at CU Boulder. The drive and parking were easy. The check in process was by phone and everything was clearly described. The room was quiet clean and comfortable. I'm sure we will stay again.
So, first off. The wi-fi didn't work. So when i came to complain. The guy behind the reception said: "Well, sir. It's okay to be offline sometimes." Okay, smartass. I have to look up information for my flight. And eventually we found out it's because of a broken cable. And the jacuzzi water was dirty. But now to the positive. There are more than 2 working power outlets. The tv works. The bathroom ceiling doesn't leak. The door works, you don't have to slam it shut. Soda from the vending machine costs $2. The hotel is pretty quiet. There is a fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Besides the offline guy. The rest was of the service was really friendly. The beds are comfy. Great breakfast and there is a bunch to choose from. The hotel is pretty clean.
This place is a hidden gem. Easy parking, great location, quiet area, comfortable beds! The rooms have all the amenities like fridge, microwave, table and chairs, good wifi and vending machines with soda, candy, even microwaveable meals like ramen. The checkin process is super easy if you arrive after the desk closes. It's not fancy, but comfortable, clean, and has everything you need.
Loved staying here! The room was very spacious, clean, and inviting. Check in and out were easy, and the location was great...outside all the boulder traffic but drivable to everywhere within minutes and easy access to the trail and bike lane systems. I would have liked some more protein options w breakfast beyond hard boiled eggs, but there was still a wide variety of standard continental breakfast options. Will definitely look for availability here for future trips.
The room was cute, but only if you need just two outlets, the rest are broken or taken by the appliances you also pay to be able to use. TV was down. Bathroom ceiling was leaking, when they came in to fix it at 8am they had to pull chunks of drywall out of the ceiling panel. Door wouldn't shut unless slammed. $3 for a can of soda in the vending machine. When I called them to complain about the issues I experienced I was told there was nothing they could to do to remedy the issue. No discount offered, no room change. Nothing. Except a promise of tv after I left, and a disruption making sure I had to wake up early. Definitely a safe, mostly quiet place if you don't care about the maintenance issues mentioned above, however.
It was a very good place to stay. Until a snowstorm changed my travel plans. They use ReservationDesk.com. I wanted to see if I could push my stay back 1 week. However, that was not possible according to ReservationDesk.com. My only option was to cancel. The cancellation was non-refundable. I've switched back to a hotel that would be able to change a reservation without loosing money.
I enjoyed my stay at Twin Lakes Inn in Boulder. Check-in was easy, the staff were welcoming, and the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. It was quiet at night, which made it easy to rest. Overall, great value and I would happily stay here again.
The room was very spacious which gave us a place to store our bikes while we were out and about. The staff was very friendly and suggested an app for us to use to see the different bike trails in the area. Both the common areas and room were clean and well maintained. It’s set back in a quiet neighborhood right a long a nice walking path. We would definitely stay there again if we find ourselves in Boulder again.
Very friendly staff, love the bike borrow option but would suggest checking the tires. Most were flat and wouldn’t inflate with the pump available which limited choosing one to fit the rider. Room was clean and comfortable and walking paths were awesome! Thanks for a good experience.
I’m giving this location 3 stars because the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. However, the room we stayed in felt a bit unpleasant due to its condition. I’m not sure if I got a room that had already been renovated or one still waiting for an upgrade. The ceilings had water stains and probably mold, and it seemed like the renovations were just painting over the issues rather than addressing them. I also requested extra pillows, but they told me they didn’t have any available—I've never experienced that at any motel or hotel before. We had a rough couple of nights sleeping before we finally got some extras. I’m happy to see they’re working on improvements, and I’m sure it’ll be a great place once the renovations are complete. Overall, I feel like the price didn’t quite match the quality of the stay.
