A-Lodge Boulder consistently receives positive feedback for its beautiful mountain setting, comfortable accommodations, and friendly staff. Guests appreciate its proximity to both Boulder and outdoor activities, as well as the property’s unique amenities like its creek, sauna, and hot tub. While some reviews mention potential improvements to certain rooms, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.
Awesome lodge! Hostel bunk beds were comfy & quiet. Shower, locker, kitchen area all in great condition. Very friendly staff and lodgers. The outdoor areas are beautiful, especially at night with the christmas light. Also the hike from Boulder is very smooth - path is paved or firm-packed and it slopes gently.
We came to Boulder to visit our son for a few days and he recommended that we stay at this a-lodge. It is fantastic! Up the mountain, set in the nature, very close to Boulder, but also a little out of town, spacious and extremely comfortable room and bed. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in Colorado on our 2 Week Rd. trip. We stayed in a private queen room, and it was completely modern and clean and excellent!
Stayed here for one night. Rooms were very clean, and beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The shower looked up to date and modern. Kitchen was convenient, wi-fi worked well, and the tv had numerous free channels. I was able to take a hike with my dog without needing to drive to a trailhead. The trip to downtown is very short if driving, and walkable along a pedestrian path if you have the energy.
A lovely place to stay in the montains! And they have hostel option for solo traveller which was very welcome. The place is by the road in the mountains and very quiet in the night. The hostel rooms themselves were cozy and spacious, with plenty of storage, and good bathroom - to - bed ratio. The bunk beds were very sturdy and comfy. The one con I can think of is that for the hostel part of the lodge, the shared public space for lounging was pretty limited (there were 1 desk and 1 crash pad couch and that was about it). The lodge lobby was pretty nice but not opened 24hrs. Still, a wonder place for solo road tripper and would recommend.
For the last 8 years this place has done me and my nebraska friends so well we keep coming back. From the hot tub to the babbling brook, this place serves up adventure right outside your door. We saw a bear once. Two ravens stalked us for nuts. The cabin has the most comfortable couch, the queen suite was super adorable. The random people we've met over the years from locals to travelers have all been amazing people. It really is our home away from home ?
Staying at A-Lodge Boulder was one of the highlights of our small family's Colorado trip! It is a short and beautiful drive into downtown Boulder yet nestled along a creek in a canyon. The grounds, the lodge, and the people and animals there were what made it special though! Our five-year-old always wanted to see if he could meet any cool dogs in the lodge, and indeed he did! We enjoyed hanging out there and having a local microbrew in the evenings. The room would benefit from some simple updates, but the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the provided coffee was great! We wished that we could have stayed longer and have already talked about coming back!
Was a great location for going off and adventuring. The rooms are simple but fit the bill for sleeping in between adventures. Enjoyed the hot tub both days as well as a complimentary sauna spot during the communal hours. They were easy to communicate with and made right a scheduling snafu from their end very nicely. Plan to come back for more adventure time in the later spring.
This place was great for a quick night/weekend away. The hot tub was our main reason for booking, which no one else seemed to take advantage of. It was nice to have it to ourselves every time we went in. We also partially booked here for the sauna, not realizing that you have to pay more to reserve it. Which is understandable, but I wish was more clear in the booking details. The pool was closed but I didn't see that on the booking details either. It said heated, so I thought perhaps it would be open. The staff were very nice and helpful. My only complaints would be our bed was SUPER firm and I didn’t sleep well on it. Also, there is no ice on the property, which I don’t love. Otherwise, this place was great and a nice place to not have service and get away for a night or so.
?? Review: Unsafe and Disturbing Experience I am writing this review on behalf of my friend, who stayed at this cabin recently. What started as a peaceful getaway turned into a terrifying ordeal. First nights were fine, but then things took a dark turn. She began hearing voices outside her room late at night. At first, she tried to ignore it. Soon, the door handle was being shaken aggressively, as if someone was trying to break in. The following night at 10 PM, loud knocking started. She was alone, frightened, and even her dogs were panicked. The parking lot was nearly empty just her car and one other. When she tried to leave, a van slowly approached. Inside were three men she recognized as the same ones who had been outside her cabin earlier. As she drove out, the other car in the lot moved toward the exit in a way that felt like it was trying to block her from leaving. She had no cell signal, only Wi-Fi, which made the situation even more unsafe. What should have been a relaxing trip turned into a nightmare where she genuinely felt targeted. ?I do not recommend this cabin to anyone. My friend’s experience was frightening, unsafe, and unacceptable. For your own safety, avoid this place entirely.
The A-Lodge was a perfect place to bring our two pups on their first vacation. The price was good and the lodge is in a beautiful location not far from Boulder. Bonus: A creek runs through the property and we saw lots of wildlife in the area.
