The Sheraton Denver West Hotel is currently undergoing renovations, impacting guest experiences. Recent reviews highlight cleanliness concerns, outdated rooms, and operational issues like double billing and elevator problems. While some guests appreciate the location and staff friendliness, significant issues with room conditions and hotel services persist, suggesting a need for continued improvement.
Isn't it weird how your contractors installed a sliding shower door in the direction that requires the guests to climb over the toilet to get in and out? If I managed this hotel I would be contacting them ASAP while there's still a service warranty. Whoever's in charge of the contractors needs to tighten up the ship, this is absolutely unacceptable. Typical "good enough" oversight that reeks of cheap labor.
Great stay. Loved the free coffee it was real coffee and was able to get an americano. Liked the gym nice and big and the pool looks like it will be nice, still in renovations. The head of the bed had some wear and tear to vinyl. Over clean and spacious room and the view was great on the top floor. We liked the food at the restaurant the burger was delicious and it was the best fries I have ever had. We liked the atmosphere and the check in host was very nice.
Last minute work related trip. I booked here since it is the company "preferred" hotel in the area. The front desk staff were very nice. The smell that hit me when I got off the elevator was nasty. Like a dry drain or grease trap. Still a slight smell of it in the room. The room has no privacy/black out curtain, just a sheer. While investigating the curtain situation, I noticed a large piece of tape on a cracked window. Super cool! At least it's not on the first floor. No refrigerator or microwave and the room is definitely older.
I traveled 16 hours to get some rest at the Sheraton Denver West. First off the staff at the front desk are kind and welcoming. The rooms are outdated, not that clean though, the headboards from the beds were super dusty, and the bathroom didn’t even have a door, also no microwave. The BIGGEST issue I have now which is the reason for a 1 star, is because they double charged me and have been giving me the run around for over 2 weeks. I spoke to accounting and billing department and I was told my refund would come in January 26th. I gave it an extra day, & called again, the accounting rep that answered said a Supervisor would get back to me, and no one has. I called again the next day wanting to speak to the hotel manager, manager didn’t pick up the call nor returned my call after I left a Voicemail. No one seems to show any care to resolve the issue nor take the time of day to return my call or emails to give me an update! I am very disappointed, they were quick to charge my card twice! and now their not giving me my refund back! Times are hard now a days, I need MY money back! I do not recommend staying there, because their just not trustworthy to me anymore. I feel let down as a new guest.
Best Hotel in Denver area by far! So beautiful and that’s even before the current remodel underway. Staff is amazing and perfect venue for an event. Had such an amazing holiday party there with A Casino Event providing table games. Heathers banquet team was amazing and so great to work with!
Stayed here for a wedding not far away. They are doing construction on the main entrance, so there is a temp one and no directional way to get in since it’s a one way. Should have signage but there is none. Found multiple screws in the parking lot so be careful of your car tires! The rooms were nice and spacious for a king bed. The floor we were on (10) and a horrible fart/poop smell that lingered and was very unenjoyable. We went down for breakfast and buffet is $21 per person with not a lot of offerings, the server was great tho. Fine place to stay, but could have been better.
I've always had great experience with Sheratons which is why I booked this. Now, I know this place is currently being renovated, but the whole experience was hot garbage. They said they "upgraded" me to room with a veiw on a higher floor. I wish they upgraded me to a room that had been renovated already. The room was out of date, the magnetic lock face plate was off, the door stuck, the sink faucet was so loose it literally fell off. The hair dryer was broken, I called the desk for a new one. They never came. I tried to check in with the app and get a mobile key, it wouldn't work. When I went to the front desk to check in, there was no one there. I had to wait about 10 mins for someone to show up. The elevators stopped working my last day there, but they didn't put signs up on every floor, only in the lobby. So when I left I had no clue the elevators weren't working. I sat there like a dingbat for about 5 minutes before hiking down 9 flights of stairs with my luggage. They did offer me free breakfast for the inconvenience, but I had a flight to catch and couldn't hang around. They gave me extra points which was nice. I will say the fitness center was really well equipped, but the temp was set to 1,000° and I couldn't change it. The hotel was in a good location and was a quick drive to lots of cool shopping and restaurants.
I will get the same form response from the manager the rest got. Just saying that first. This is a red flag hotel. If you book this hotel after reading this that is on you. Stay at the fairfield next door. Two years of renovations? Not a single room renovated. The staff is awesome but the hotel isn't safe not in the slightest. Making everyone use a service elevator with the trash and the filth of a hotel going up and down. The chance of being locked out from those elevators? Heater didn't properly function in my room etc. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! book somewhere else!
My wife and I had another great experience at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and welcoming. We always love staying here when we attend concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre — the location is perfect, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff always make us feel at home. A special shout-out to Gary, who went above and beyond to make our stay even better. His friendly attitude and attention to detail really stood out. We truly appreciate his help and wanted to give him the recognition he deserves. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We ate at the tavern. It was really good. There were a few minor repairs that brought down our review. The AC was loud when it kicked on and the mini fridge made popping sounds. The apolstry on the headboards were worn. Overall it was a pleasant stay and we would stay again.
