The Westin Westminster receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its convenient location and friendly staff. However, recurring issues with cleanliness, inconsistent water temperature, outdated facilities, and billing errors are significant concerns. Recent reviews highlight problems with bathroom conditions, malfunctioning amenities, and unresolved guest complaints.

Upon arrival my husband had to spend almost an hour arguing about checking in. First, he needed me to go in and show my ID which was fine and regular security protocol; however, the additional 45 minutes was due to poor service and staff who were not knowledgeable enough in checking guests in. I went to the women’s restroom in the lobby to take my 2 and 6 year old children. While in the bathroom stall, I noticed the ceiling tile was completely open and it appeared there was clothing or something up there. It is EXTREMELY disturbing to me there are even ceiling tiles that can open over bathroom stalls, especially in a women’s restroom and especially when my children are in there. This bathroom was not closed for service. When I showed the picture to the front desk representative she said oh, they are doing work up there. I don’t think so! You have a worker up in the ceiling in a woman’s restroom and you keep it open?! Unacceptable and so creepy! We get to our room and it is ok but the details of the hotel make me feel like it isn’t the Marriott standard for sure. When I laid down in our bed, the sheets smelled like they had been sitting in a closet for a year, that old linen smell. The next morning my husband woke up to shower and the water was not hot in the shower, it was lukewarm at best. I called to the front desk and they sent someone up who acted like I was being picky and said the water was hot. Ok, I’ve stayed in hotels A LOT and this water was not warm, much less hot. I kind of chuckled at the man thinking he was kidding and I asked “you think the water is hot”? He replied that is as warm as it gets. My husband was shivering. My kids were begging me not to bathe them when they felt it- it is not warm enough at all. After this I read multiple reviews about the same complaint with cold water. The sink water is scalding hot and the shower is 70 degrees at best. I don’t like to complain but these events are adding up and somebody should be paying attention to what reviewers are saying. The indoor pool was so cold my kids didn’t want to swim-this has never happened in any other hotel we have stayed in. They are kids, unless it’s freezing they are not going to deny a chance to swim. I’m disappointed at best. Marriott has a level of quality to me and this does not add up. You can stay across the street and have free breakfast for a better price. When I sent a complaint to management they did offer me some Marriott points but maintained the open ceiling tile in the restroom was not a big deal and they were doing maintenance work. I don’t know, I’ve never experienced that and I do not think any kind of work should be done in the ceiling above bathroom stalls without the restroom being closed. They said the stalls above were closed but you can see into any stall from the ceiling tile that was open. There also looked to be clothes or some type of garment up there. I don’t know any women who want to feel their privacy is invaded in any way in a restroom.

Unbelievably great experience at this property. The rooms are akin to sound isolation chambers. The staff, incredibly polite and professional - these people smile & greet you when you enter the room, genuinely refreshing in the post Covid era. Add to all that that this is a very clean, dog friendly property, 5 stars becomes too few to fairly rate this hotel. My advice: opt for the Mountain View. You won’t regret it, neither will your four legged companions…. (See pic).

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very nice and clean. We were comfortable both in the rooms and in the lobby. Be aware that they charge for Wi-Fi use. The conference area was nice and clean. Only problem was one side was freezing and the other side was burning up. I was glad there were some restaurants close enough to walk to, but wish there were more.

Disgusting and overall disappointing stay. The bathroom was so dirty and unsanitary. The shower had stains on the floor and when water was ran there were black pieces of unknown material floating around. The door frame to the bathroom appeared to have blood or fecal matter stuck to it. The toilet did not refill after flushing so I had to take the toilet lid off to manually push down the lever to refill. The baseboards had grime and filth built up with hair stuck to them. Also, while walking into the hotel there were workers cursing and said the F word multiple times in front of my 1 and 3 year old daughters. For a room that costs $250 plus $15 for parking, it is very disappointing. I have been a Marriott member for many years and this is the WORST experience I have had with one of their brands. **I was fully refunded for the cost of the night which was appreciated.**

I had a great experience at The Westin Westminster. Parking was spacious, easy, and stress-free, which made arrival and departure incredibly convenient. The staff throughout the hotel was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Every interaction felt smooth and well-managed, which really sets this property apart. I attended an event here and everything was flawless—from the setup to the service and overall execution. It was clear the team was organized, attentive, and experienced, making the entire experience seamless. This is a well-run hotel that delivers on comfort, service, and event excellence. I would absolutely recommend it and look forward to returning.

In my room on the 12th floor for as much money as I paid and all the hype about this place being top of the line, one of the best places, top luxury!!! Hahaha yeah right. My door didn't lock. It took 30 minutes for it to lock every time you in gauged it, the wifi that was supposed to be free? Yep nope that didn't work either and the cable TV kept flashing in and out. Couldn't watch anything if I wanted to, and the pool, the HEATED POOL that is a big joke to. Not very heated at all. Big disappointment and the sauna in the women's locker room yep you guessed BROKEN BROKEN BROKEN. So I'm not sure what the hype about this place is or honestly why it's so expensive. It's completely run down honestly and definitely not worth wasting any money or time going there. They did nothing to fix any of the issues I had at all. Plus I had to pay for parking. Really? I'm sorry if I have to pay to park my vehicle at this expensive run down place I feel like I should not be harassed by the cops running everyone's plates for warrants or whatever they are looking for the whole time I was there. This place is not even a luxury joke, it's just a straight joke. Huge waist of money for the same things I could have gotten from a hotel in the projects. Very disappointing!!!!

The (west-facing) view of the room was fantastic! The bed was incredibly soft, the room was clean, and the customer service from the front desk was excellent. However, that’s about it. The roof of the room (1201) had strange marks and stains on it. The window looking out of the room was covered in bird feces. It’s a $15 charge for parking, (per day). A $16.99 charge for wifi, (per day). There’s no room service or complimentary breakfast. And overall, the whole hotel needs an exorbitant amount of renovations. This is a 4 star hotel, and the flagship Marriott for the Westminster/Boulder division. And yet, for almost $200 a night, it’s most definitely a disappointed.

We always stay at the Westin in Westminster when we visit the Denver/Boulder area. We stayed over Thanksgiving this year and it was a very comfortable and quiet stay overall. The location is great - next to a large park (to take my dog to), an AMC, and near a lot of other choices for food, entertainment and shopping. Ethan helped us at check in, super nice guy and very welcoming. The staff overall greeted us always and just made us feel safe and welcomed. The room itself was pleasant - great views, temperature was easy to control, it was quiet and the bed was the most comfortable!! Yes, the hotel is a bit worn but everything else made it an excellent stay. We’ll be back! PS: There’s a new restaurant on the property and we never went to it, so can’t say much about that but the advertising for it was limited and it seemed a little underwhelming walking by it.

We’re locals and have stayed at this hotel for years for family staycations and when our house was being worked on, but after our most recent visit, we won’t be back. Our bill included an unauthorized restaurant charge of over $100, despite the fact that we never ate in the restaurant. I called the hotel several times to resolve the issue, asking for either a refund or a copy of the signed receipt. No one followed up. I also contacted Marriott corporate, who assured me the manager would reach out within five business days. Weeks later, still nothing. Even after following up with corporate again, I never heard from anyone. It’s incredibly disappointing that such a simple issue couldn’t be addressed by the property or Marriott. I shouldn’t have to file a chargeback with my bank to correct a clear mistake. If you stay here, check your folio carefully, but also don't expect anyone to resolve any billing errors.

This is definitely one of my preferred hotels. It's halfway between boulder and denver. The beds are super comfy. The restaurant has excellent food. The service is decent if you get there. When the line's not long, it's good, but they definitely need to hire more people. Overall. It's one of the better hotels in colorado
