The Curtis Hotel offers a uniquely themed experience in downtown Denver, praised for its fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and central location near attractions like Union Station and the convention center. However, reviews highlight persistent elevator issues, inconsistent room quality, and occasional operational problems like bathroom malfunctions and parking difficulties.
Not only was this place affordable for being right downtown but it was one of my top notch service experiences I've had in a long time. Not only the front desk people but restaurant / bartenders were amazingly friendly! Very attentive to any of my needs and I will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you to all the staff you made my stay comfortable and accommodating.
The Curtis is a fun hotel right downtown in what may be a perfect location for out of town guests. It is near the stadiums, entertainment, shopping and Union Station. The staff is fun and friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is a lot of fun and very visually appealing. If you love video games from the 90's and 2000's you should definitely pay this place a visit. The attached restaurant makes great drinks, good coffee, and really good food. I highly recommend a stay here
Stayed at the hotel during a recent work conference. Has a resort/circus style theme throughout the hotel. Every floor has a different style. Would not recommend at all. Stayed for 3 days/nights, did not have hot water once. Elevators were crowded due to one being down for maintenance repairs. Tried to use the stairs and got locked out between floors. I had to wait for someone to come open the door for me. Upon initial check in room was not cleaned properly, trash and stains on the bed. This place was most likely booked by my company due to the price. However, my choice would not be to stay at this hotel again. Horrible experience.
Overall the experience was great. Location right next to the convention center, maybe a 2 minute walk. The biggest issue I had were the elevators. The would stop on almost every floor with no one there to get on. On site parking was nice and easy to access.the rooms were clean however the bathrooms are very small. Staff was very friendly and helpful with whatever needs.
The Curtis Hotel is absolutely awesome. The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown Denver and close to everything you’d want to see or do. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and full of personality. The front desk team is amazing super friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. Every staff member I interact with makes the place even better and they go out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. One of the coolest parts of the Curtis is that every floor has a different theme, which makes the whole experience unique and memorable. The hotel has also been recently renovated, and it really shows everything feels fresh, clean, modern, and well-designed while still being playful and creative. You have to check out The Corner Office (TCO) restaurant on site. It’s fantastic. Do yourself a favor and try the Reuben, it’s seriously one of the best I’ve had. Great food, great vibe, and a perfect spot whether you’re staying at the hotel or just stopping by. Overall, the Curtis Hotel has an incredible energy, amazing staff, a prime location, and a fun, vibrant atmosphere that makes it stand out from any other hotel. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Denver. Great job!!!
The actual room itself was average at best. I was glad to hear they are remodeling a lot of the rooms as I have stayed in better rooms for the same price. The shower was small and water pressure low, as was the time of hot water. Loved the staff they were super friendly and helpful, parking was a breeze. The location was close to downtown and one could walk to most places on 16th street mall. Ultimately though the quality of the room brought the rating down for me from 4 stars to 3.
Cute hotel and each floor has their own whimsical theme (I.e. My room was on the 14th floor and it was legos, the 13th floor was spooky theme...etc) My only major complaint I have is how slow the elevators are!! There are 4 elevators but it can take up to 10 minutes for it arrive on your floor and it will stop at every floor going up or down even when nobody is there to board.. it was very annoying
I stayed at this hotel and attended a conference hosted at the hotel. The staff is very nice. The elevators are dreadfully slow, like wait 5-10 minutes every single time, and you could not take the stairs. This was worsened by "getting upgraded" to a room on the 15th floor. The restaurant did last call for food and drinks at 8:45pm. The ice machine did not work for my entire stay. The water pressure in the shower was low. The hotel was not inexpensive to make up for these problems. so, if you are considering this hotel, I would consider staying elsewhere. If you are attending an event in this hotel, you will probably find it quicker to stay at a different hotel and walk to this hotel, given how slow the elevators are.
This is an eclectic place for a Hilton branded hotel. It's in the downtown Denver area right across the street from the opera house with the convention center about 2 blocks away. The theme of the whole place has a campy vibe. The 13th floor was decorated to be the Horror Floor. It's not your generic carbon copy typical hotel. My room was decorated like a cross between the 1960s and 1970s. No complaints about the bathroom, especially the shower with plentiful hot water. The bed was comfortable and the TV was large enough to see from the opposite side of the room. The chair at the small desk was a bit odd since it was a fixed bucket-style chair that didn't rotate, raise, or move. It's not the kind of chair and desk you'd work at for long periods of time but it's good enough to check emails and go about your business. I tried to eat at the in-house restaurant a couple of times for breakfast and lunch, but the wait was too long for my schedule. The bar looked nice. The elevators are a little on the slow side at times when the hotel is full. If you have some place to be or an Uber to catch give yourself an extra couple of minutes if youre on an upper floor and going down during a peak exit time. I stayed there about 6 days and found the front desk staff was superb and extra friendly. They were an enjoyable bunch to chat with.
Gold member w/ Hilton.. Business trip x3 days. Rooms are ok, but the walls are very thin. Can hear my neighbor on the phone in the next room, and he's speaking at a normal tone. Showers have zero water pressure, that's just something to be aware of. When your spending a couple hundred for a night, these are just no go's for me. People and staff are nice, no issues, very kind. Great location.
